Blimey...I've read some drivel on these boards but this is outstanding!

Westy23: Please don't worry about which radiators you choose. As long as they're a reputable make, they'll be fine. The only thing I would say though is avoid the DIY outlets.
You have been reading.....another magnificent post by garethgas

Wickes in particular if my experiences are anything to go by. I am sure their main Quinn radiator line are graded seconds. I have had three and each one had a very poor paint finish and a (2) quality sticker on each one. That is before the Wickes rough handling and added scratches/bumps. These were not marked as seconds, they were their full price radiators! If you want crap radiators, you know where to go. Most of the DIY sheds are probably the same, I don't think any of them show any care for the radiators. They throw em around far too much IMO. I would of sent them back if I hadn't of had them for many months. I kept them in their packaging so didn't see the condition until it was too late. You live and learn and I won't make the same mistake again with anything from Wickes.

Recently ordered a radiator from Mr.Central Heating. Very good prices and excellent quality radiator, made by Revive and with a 10 year guarantee. I looked round for a couple of weeks for the likes of Wickes, Screwfix, Toolstation, etc and was recommended Mr.CH. Can't fault them :).

Think the 1400x600 double panel single convector rad I needed plus the thermostatic valve set was only £73 including delivery!
