desismileys_4592.gif for getting to Friday and desismileys_6943.gif for the NSD and overpayment!!

I've got a recipe in my Bero book if you'd like it?

Aaaw thanks Badger ;) I would love it! That's really kind. My mum had a bero book when I was little but it got ruined :( Was real traditional cooking!

Great work on the overpayment Aamberle. I'm with you on the 'week closer to payday' bit - sometimes feel I'm wishing my life away waiting for the end of the month :rotfl:

    Here you go

    225g / 8oz SR flour
    1/4 teaspoon bicarb
    pinch salt
    75g / 3oz butter
    175g / 6 oz caster sugar
    2 medium eggs beaten
    450g / 1lb bananas weighed with skin, peeled &mashed
    100g / 4oz chopped walnuts

    1 Heat oven to 180 C/ 350 F/ Gas 4. Grease & line 1kg/2lb loaf tin

2 Mix together flour, bicarb & salt

3 Cream butter & sugar til pale & fluffy, add eggs a little at a time alternately with the flour

4 Stir in remaining flour, bananas & walnuts and place in prepared tin.

    5 Bake for about 1 1/4 hours

6 cool on a wire rack

I got my book from http://www.be-ro.co.uk/f_about.htm :) I think I read somewhere that Morrisons sell them as well but I can't remember seeing them in there.

Morning All , Thanks Badger for the recipe - might try that later in week.

Well not a lot to update really, except had a fab weekend. Caught up with friends over the weekend, and the sun shone woohoo. things seem so much better in the sunshine..

Did not have time to look at recipes ( I know I know) but did get up this morning to do al the ironing before it gets too hot..so all the ironing was done by 5.40am :j That is it for another week!

Other than that going to have to be NSD's most of the week ( mainly as I have no money) but also because I should:D

Anyway have a good Monday all xx

  • Ironing done by 5.40?! Go you! I can't even think about getting up at that time these days least of all to do ironing (surely the worst of all household jobs?!)

I didn't get time to make the tea loaf either so earmarking this weekend to do it now! Let us know what you think :)

Morning All - Well I made it to pay day :j:j.
I can honestly say this has felt like the longest time ever...I knew things were going to be tough, but phew  did not know how tough - anyway was so down with it I did not really even venture onto here - which is a bit silly I know as it would of probably kept me motivated - but hey ho..

Anyway I did not completely lose site of things, was using up everything in house where I could, sorted a few more things for ebay and even listed a few..made a couple of payments to the CC from sales - Even in the tough times, I still was using my proceeds for debts and not giving in :rotfl: Go me :T

Anyway will work through payment plan for month at the weekend - just thought I would pop on and update my diary and remind myself that that it will take time - but it is going down....

Anyway have a good day all xx

PS - Where has the summer gone? It is grey, dark and raining outside..:(
