Went to a wedding fair yesterday - first one with h2b and they had a bridal area where you could try on various dresses - now I wanted h2b to give me an idea of what he likes/dislikes on me so I decided to try on a dress and see what he thought. The lady on the stand picked it out without me noticing and i thought i'd hate it - tried it and think I have fallen in love with it.... shame about the price tag - £1240 !!!! :shocked:

Im so scared to start trying on dresses in case I fall in love with one that is over budget!

Im sure you will be able to find it cheaper some how though!

I don't feel like I have done any planning for ages because we got so much sorted so early on. We've done;
the venue
the church
the cars
the photographer
the rings
my dress

The wedding is still 18 months away so going to start hm invites and orders of service this summer, flowers and cake early next year and I have picked the bm dress, but one is pregnant and one not long since had baby so not being measured up until the end of the year!

I just feel like I don't have anything to e getting on with atm. It's also annoying me that I can't show everyone my dress now cos I just want to sing and shout about it!

i have started putting thank you bags together for friends who are helping, free stuff off vistaprint for mugs etc. I have got some craft stuff arriving this week to make the bridal party some wine glass charms.

I have made some banners, one of photos of me and oh together etc, Ive done our order of the day, and evening info to go on tables, made some beer mats. We are having a photobooth so am always on look out for things for that.

Starting to look for centrepeice things too.

Are you having a website, gettingmarried.co.uk is fab and you can start a blog now for all your guests to follow. That is something that is fun, I can pm you my link if you want ideas etc.

I havent sorted photographer yet, so keep looking for ideas with that too.

Jax - are you doing a DIY Photobooth? We are keen to do this and set up our own digi cam in a room with loadsa stuff and just let people get on with it! How are you doing yours?

I will be prepping a website soon - going to use gettingmarried as well... would you be so kind to PM your link so i could have a look?!

myconosray - the worst thing about it is my h2b was *happy* for me to spend that kind of money! I nearly fell over in shock!! haha.

Finally, I am looking forward to booking the venue up for definite on Friday - going to try and get some money knocked off so I can spend it on the dress :rotfl:

My oh is somehow linking the camera to the laptop, so it will tell you hit the spacebar when ready, then count down........hopefully......

I have got funny glasses, wigs, boas, some chalkboards for guests to write on, hats, oh wants to get a whiteboard and put to head holes in so they can draw costumes etc and put their heads through.....

ooooo booking your venue, it is so exciting!

I wasn't going to do a website. It had crossed my mind, but I am a teacher and word has got around I am getting married, and I don't really want the kinds digging aound for details.....I know i am being paranoid, but hey ho!

I am also doing crafty things.....making all the centerpieces,invites, orders of services and favours etc but although I know my main colour scheme, I want an accent colour, which I won't be able to decide until I see my dress when it arrives in April.

I am going to 3 weddings this year though, so cn be nosy at those! Just bought my outfit for them too!! Just too organised lol:A
