Haha me too! I feel like there's not a great deal to do this year... venue, cars and photographer are booked already, going to buy my dress soon but I can't really do much else now

I'm also like this too, I've started to look at other things I can do for the wedding to fill up the time. I've decided to try and make my own fruit wedding cakes and possibly some Eiffel tower vase and ostrich feather centrepieces.

Hello to all the new people on this thread :T and congratulations :T

My OH and I have decided on the venue for the reception, just waiting to view the two hotels for the actual marriage part next week to choose between the two.

our problem is that we can't book the date until January 2013, so i'm going to have to do everything, without officially inviting people - can't really send out an invite saying - Date: Either 1st or 2nd Weekend in June, keep both free just incase :rotfl:

JTR: I'm optimistic for you too. Hang on in there!

I'm getting married in December this year in Lapland, but having the reception in January 2013. I think there is going to be MUCH more to plan for the reception than the actual wedding though!!

    Hey ladies!

I'm going to be a 2013 bride! I'd posted in the May 2013 already, but I think we're going with April now as we're getting married in Las Vegas and it will need to be in the school holidays.

Am trying to get the OH to help me make some decisions as we want to give our guests as much time as possible to get the best deals on their flights etc.

Have narrowed it down to two casino/resorts from five so feel like I'm making a little progress :D

LaurenC - I know what you mean about the reception seeming like more work, I hardly even started thinking about that!

I think it's one of those things where you walk into the venue and you can just see yourself getting married there. I loved it straight away. It is fun looking though...not sure my h2b would say the same though :rotfl: .

I completely agree, we looked at 5 venues and I fell in love with the 2nd one as soon as I walked in the room. I knew it was the one. Every one we saw after that I just didn't get the same feeling!
