Keep up the MSE ways!!:money:
I know sometimes I feel like I'm talking to myself on here sometimes, but remember if you even inspire one lurker to go all MSE then you've done well!
Stay strong!:D

Sounds like you are doing really well Crunchy, make sure you dont wear yourself out with all that overtime. As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again0

Thanks guys. Talking to myself is what keeps me going - if I wrote down my intentions then I've got no excuse for forgetting myself
As for wearing myself out - it's hard work but thinking of the payout at the end of the month makes it worthwhile. I've got another day off tomorrow, and if I survive til Thursday I've got a nice cushy 3½ hour shift paid for at full day rate :jSearch for Crunchy's Debt Deletion Diary... Been told there's going to be two more vacancies in my department from Monday (due to promotions) which won't be filled for the foreseeable future - so should be even easier to get my target amount of overtime in each week :j Just a shame I'm limited to 35 hours OT per week - I'd be willing to do more if it meant I'd be debt free sooner and have some spare cash again...
Had my Littlewoods statement come through - minimum payment has gone down by £45 to 'only' £574 this month - set up a payment ready to send the money on payday so one less thing to worry about.
Not had any CC statements for the month yet, but they are all due soonish so will set up minimum payments for them ready as soon as I have an amount. As I said before aiming to pay TSB completely, then I've got to decide which one to make a dent in - Aqua or Barclaycard - both about the same balance (£380ish). Aqua has higher APR so makes sense to go for this one...
My reasoning for leaving Vanquis until last despite their !!!!!! Turpin-esque interest rates is that I can keep myself motivated by seeing the other cards reduced to zero quickly, then throw everything at Vanquis - snowball calculator suggests I'll pay around an extra £100 interest by doing it my way, which I think is a small price to pay compared to the much higher chance of falling off the wagon if I attempt to tackle the Vanquis mountain first...Search for Crunchy's Debt Deletion Diary... Just worked out that, barring any unforeseen changes of plan, I should be able to completely pay Aqua as well as TSB - so a great motivation boost if that comes off. Should leave me with about £50-£100 spare too which I'll throw Vanquis's way!Search for Crunchy's Debt Deletion Diary... Your doing so well :j:j0 -
I hate waiting for bills.
I used to hate receiving them, now I'm actually willing them to come!
It's a week til payday, and I want the bills to come so I can get up to date balances, and minimum payments, so I can then start to allocate money to each of them...
Hurry up Postie!
On the bright side, I got my Littlewoods bill yesterday, and my minimum payment has gone down to £574 (all 0% interest), freeing up £45 to pay somewhere else who is charging me interest...Search for Crunchy's Debt Deletion Diary... This is so true :rotfl::rotfl:
Hope all is well0 -
Hi Crunchy- I have no doubt that you will clear the debt this year, as you said yourself you KNOW you are going to do it- that leaves room for no doubt!
I have to ask- are you a train driver? It sounds quite glamorous and adventurous- a bit like being a pilot! Bet you have to put up with a lot of moaning people though!0 -
Wish I was a train driver Lucky, I'd probably find it a lot easier to get rid of this debt if I was on a train driver's wage! I do work for a train company though.
