Looking for a bit of advice, not had my hair cut for about 7/8 months, it was short but is now getting too long and scraggily.
My friend used to cut it but she has moved away, I don't have much to spend and don't have time to sit in a hairdressers for several hours either. I really quite dislike the basins in the hairdressers, can I wash my hair at home and go into my local hairdresser for a haircut rather than having to pay for a cut/blow dry? I don't know if that's cheeky?:o
You can, I have a friend who actually has a dry cut, but her hair is poker straight naturally. I am sure they could even do what they do with kids and spray water on your hair to keep it even enough to cut - call around and see if your local will do it0 -

i thought they cut it wet because it was much easier to get an accurate cut. my dad hates his hair being washed at the hairdressers because he thinks they never dry it right and now they cut his dry but they were a bit put out at first and thought he was a bit eccentric.0 -

in my defence, it was L'Occitaine Verbena stuff and Aveda that I've since worked out i got enough of everything to give me the amount of a full size bottle of each product and its worth like £100 :rotfl: DH thought i was crazy.
on the plus side, I'm all ready to go with little bottles for the gym :T
I would have done the same thing :beer:No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries Challenge

I sometimes have mine dry cut at the hairdressers but it's never as good as a wet cut because of my hair type. I guess if you have fine/straight hair it would be ok? Mines very thick and curly so difficult to cut right even when it's wet!:D I'm not sure about turning up with it wet though which I think is what you were suggesting?:o
If you ring ahead and ask I'm sure they'll be more than willing to help you though or come to a solution re washing it there that you're both happy with :j:j0 -

You need to ask for a "wet cut" - most salons will be happy to offer this.
Should have said - don't wash it and arrive with it wet as the hairdresser won't be able to see how it behaves, judge how much it stretches when wet etc. Go in with it dry so you can have your consultation and then they will wet it for the cut.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Loving the lippy and lip gloss stash! It's awesome.
Got an e-mail from Harvey Nichols today telling me that if I take an unwanted lip gloss in to the Stila counter on (I think) 18 January they will swap it for a lip glaze. Feel that this might be a bad road to go down.
1 UU this week (more to come soon, I hope), which was Clairol professional sleek smoother shampoo. It was another of my TK Maxx bargains, think it is a salon only brand since I've never seen it in Boots. WIBA? Probably not. It was fine but full price it would be £7 and it's no better than the Alberto balsam stuff I'm using just now (last bottle of shampoo from stash, hurrah!) so why pay 7 times more?
However, some ins:
Garner naturals face wash x 2. Bought 2 because they were on offer, 2 for £5. I'm running out of the face wash I use in the shower (Sanctuary).
Boots coconut shampoo (Alberto gear I'm using is less than half full). It was only 99p so thought I'd give it a whirl.
Went to my local co-op last night and the 'seasonal reductions' shelf was bulging with Baylis & Harding stuff. Would not have been tempted even at the height of my toiletry acquisition madness because I don't really rate it.0
