No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in January 2012 Challenge!

Two more items OUT today - both sold. One sample size Liz Earle and the other fullsize eyeshadow that isn't a colour I'm ever likely to use.
So that's 6 UUs/outs so far in 2012. If anything this challenge is giving me the push I needed to use it or lose it!0 -
Hello ladies, I'm an on and off lurker here, obsessed about the challenge. This year I hope to make good inroads into my make-up, so that I can buy this Sleek Storm eyeshadow palette
I started putting the face on religiously last year, and can see the bottom of the tin in some of my powders, yay! Recently I found out what my skincare holy grails are, but it will be quite some time before I can repurchase them. I also started putting dates on my stash list for each new product I open, to keep track of how long they can be kept (there are little symbols on each tube telling you how long to keep each product after opening). If something doesn't get used up on time I won't repurchase it.

Another UU - liz Earle intensive nourishing treatment, was just a sample size, but it's gone
Also a bottle of contact lens solution is finished, but those don't really count. At least the bathroom is slightly less cluttered :T
I'm determined to have a money saving year! All you need is less0 -
I love the smell of coal tar soap
. I have the hand pump version in my soap stash to use and I must admit I have kept it to put in my ensuite rather than the main bathroom. That way its all for me mawh haw haw!!
I need to paint my nails again tonight - not sure what colour yet.
Also I have another splutterer Banana Republic body lotion. This should be gone after tomorrow's shower. No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380 -
Well no sooner do I sign up for this challenge, after an absence of at least a year but then I go and add to my stash.
The usual story, could not resist M+S final clearance.
Various Tess Daly products down to £3 and £1.50 (from starting price of £15, £12,£9)
Cleavage cream, Bikini Body, tum smoother, neck smoother, body melt and Daly tan.
Putting it in writing makes me feel a right numpty, hopefully that will help me in the long run.
I really like her newer products with the gold lid. Lovely ingredients and scents. Not so keen on the stuff in the Pink packaging. I find the scent too strong. I haven't fake tanned for an absolute age but I might restart this Spring and at £2 I thought the Fake tan was a bargain.
However these are all duplicates of the same products bought in the first reduction of the sale.
And this is how my stash builds.
So I must learn to control my trigger which is expensive desirable products at knock down prices.
I always think of what I save, never what I've spent. This has got to change.0 -

I had this tin last year and am now on the final tube. Really liked the minty and pomegranite ones. I didn't see it anywhere on the Boots website this time though.rosemary54 wrote: »OMG this takes me back to child hood when we always used this or pears soap....can still remember how they both smelt:)
I remember Pears as well. I've seen that still on sale in Sainsbury's.
Have repainted my nails and am now wearing Sephora by OPI Metro Chic. Was pretty streaky going on and now that I have two coats applied it looks a lot like Leighton Denny Leading Lilac which I own.
Have just sent payment for my bottle of Break a Leg Warmer. So excited. xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I don't really have a 'stash' of make-up as I use everything I have so won't be posting that. Also not posting my sachets as I'm not sure MSE's servers could cope!
Note for January - Santa delivered a Baylis and Harding giftset which needs to be added in. Also, DH refused to by me any smellies:mad: as apparantly I enough so I treated myself to a half price S&G Giftset in the Boots sale. Both will be added to my stash list once I get them opened:D.0 -

I just got it from Asda of all places, it comes in an orange packet and was a whopping 90p :rotfl:
I've been brave this morning and NOT used any moisturiser after it just to see if it stops my skin getting as oily through the day.
you can get 4-packs of these for about £1.60 from Home Bargains:)0
