  • This is my first month of doing this challenge. I think just being part of this challenge has really helped me make a conscious effort to not buy frivolously.

I can't wait to start next month with a new list and new goals.
    No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries Challenge
    TOTAL UU's in 2012: 588
    Total UU's in 2013: 210
INS for 2013 starting March: 8

How are those who use Happy Hair finding it? TIA

I've not started mine yet, still using up Ojon and I have a mystery brand to test but only half sizes of that.

Anyone else get really frustrated waiting for their products to just end! I'm working my way through a bourjois 10 hour sleep effect foundation and it's just limitless! It's nice enough but doesn't last very long into the day, just need it gone but, it just wont die!

I've been lazy lately... a couple of UUs from a bit ago.
E45 Hand cream - WNBA, it worked ok but didn't like the fact that it was unscented.
No7 Stay Perfect nail polish in Pinky Pure - Probably WBA, liked the colour etc but it went gloopy and thick quite easily.
    I'll list my INs later.

    Gah, forgot my UU's!

    Time Technology moisturiser sample. WNBA
Robert Piguet 'Calypso' perfume sample, nice but too subtle and 'blah' on me anyway.
Jemma Kidd lip gloss in 'sassy' WBA if I was in the market for a lipgloss but i'm definitely not! Goergeous colour though.

No Ins :D I was tempted by two today Elf bronzer in golden as it's supposed to be a good dupe for Dior Amber Diamond and I was tempted to get the Uban Decay Naked Palette 2 but decided I don't need it (don't have UDNP1 either!) Oh and I almost went out in search of Revlon Lip Butters but stopped myself there too, luckily as they aren't in the shops until March anyway!

    Hello all,
    1 uu for me:
Boots Essentials Cucumber wipes- That's the last packet from the glitch last year finished, only 3 more packets and 2 travel packets in my stash now! Can't decide which one to open now though!

A couple of INs that i'd forgotten about though.
    1 Sure deodorant
1 Radox spa wellbeing bubble bath :j my favourite!
1 dove deodorant & 2 dove shower creams - a little set from the boots sale.

Not a bad start to the year- reduction of 11 products.
I'm also having another clear out of old products and some ebaying when I get the time later this week! :j

    Have a good evening all.

OMG it 's february tomorrow, anyone started the new thread?
  • Now, I have a bone to pick with you lot ;)- we went to Covent Garden on Sunday as we had tickets for the Lion King - eldest daughter (10) wanted to go in Lush - 30mins later out we come with 2 x bath bombs, 2 x sugar lip scrubs and 1 x block of shampoo. Not counting them as INs though as they were for my daughters but I have to say there were some very tempting things in there...

Does anyone use their perfume Karma? I was at a meeting today and my colleague had it on and the smell reminded me of Clinique Simply which I absolutely loved but is discontinued - can any of you suggest anything else that might be similar?

Also - final OUTs for the month:

L'Occitane Bonne Mere lavender soap - love these soaps but no need to buy again at the moment as I am ploughing through my stash. Have decided to use bar soap instead of liquid soap in our en suite as I find it less drying on my hands.

Decleor foaming face wash - very nice and WBA

Philosophy - the Great Mystery - WNBA as I couldn't notice any visible difference

Smashbox youth mini lipgloss- love Smashbox glosses but no need to buy any more as I have loads of lippie products in my stash

  • :)Not seen a February thread yet Trudj. An IN for me to report, Wilkos cleanser...No 7 one is nearly ran out and as much as I love it I can't afford a new one this month so went for a cheap and cheerful option
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales

watched superscrimpers but don't think I will be copying the woman who froze her credit card:rotfl:

the friend who arranged the church coffee morning called today to ask me to do a stall a week early so kitchen full of flower arrangements plus the marmalade and bowls of bulbs AND I had to spend an hour or so making aposter on paintbox:eek:....hope the stuff sells:rotfl:

I saw that too. Strange woman. There's an idea for you though Rosemary why not make a tea cup candle or your own lip balm? I actually though the tea cup candle looked really sweet.
VALM - pop both Avon books outside the door together - that way whichever person is meant to be repping your street will know that someone else is territory-nicking and can deal with it. Reps book-dropping on territory that isn't their own is a big problem - it's really not fair on the rep who's been given the territory so she'll want to know about it!

Had to smile at the hotel toiletries discussion - whenever we stay anywhere it's usually Travelodge so the best you can hope for is a little packet of soap! :rotfl:

It's ok EH. I'm good friends with my Avon rep and tell her each time I get a different rep's brocure.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
