Sorry I haven't been posting... I've been spending
And have regrettably had to make the decision to leave my job as there is no sign of my ear problems being over any time soon. I could hang on and hang on living on SSP somehow but realistically this isn't viable and after all the operations etc I might still have problems.
I'm absolutely petrified of leaving, I've been there for 5 years! But I am desperately trying to look on it as an opportunity, not a negative thing. Going into work tomorrow to tell them, and sending my cv to recruitment company today (very very scared of doing this!!)Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

((HUGS)) and take a deep breath in....and out....and in....
I saw that you were considering this before, and I'm sorry you've had to make this decision.
I would suggest that you look at this as a positive opportunity to do something completely different, and have a fresh start. And also remember that, because you had your lightbulb moment a while ago and starting tackling the debts then, you are in a much better position now financially. Your debt total has really come down!
Don't be scared of the recruitment agents. They are there to help you and employers. If, however, they try to push you towards a job you really, really don't want, then don't be afraid to stand your ground and say no. There's nothing they can do if you don't want that job.
Also, have you got a profile on LinkedIn? Might be worth a look.
I'd also suggest thinking about the companies you'd like to work for, check out vacancies on their site and either apply directly, or simply write in, with your CV, telling them how much you want to work for them and ask them to consider you for any roles they have/may have in the future.
As well as checking out the jobs on search engines, at the job centre, in local papers etc etc.
You're an intelligent girl though, with a strong work ethic and work history, so I have no doubt that you will find a new job quickly.

Thanks EuroAre you on linkedin? I signed up the other day.
It won't take long to find a job, any job, even if it's temping for now. It's just the end of an era as I've been there 5years, so I guess it's also a safety net. And yes, I'm so relieved my debt is now where it's at or I'd been in even worse financial trouble!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16
