I think a bawbee was an old penny or tuppence or something like that.
I'm sure if I remember you cannae shove yer grannie aff a bus coz she's your mammie's mammy but you can shove yer other grannie coz she's your daddie's mammy! My dad's mum, god rest her soul, was a really frail old lady and so I would never have dreamed of shoving her off a bus either, poor grandma
