I did, and I thought it was about time someone told it straightLoL 2sides - did you read the thread?
Cheers
I called out Thames in December. No ifs no buts. The engineer was a sub-contractor to Thames but it went down easily as "Thames Water Accept" where three months earlier it would have been a lot of short intakes of breath and scratching of heads and bouncing off various people's walls to get it sorted.
We'll all end up paying in increased water charges soon enough of course, but at least most of these conundrums should now be a thing of the past.0 -
Anything is disposed in the drains and people believe it can take in anything in the world, some have not heard the regles before and would not care: from sludge from powerflush, anything that solidifies, whatever is left over from plastering, wash clothes, clothing etc, frying fat etc. Rats can be found blocking them as well. The only time when things might not be thrown in gutters and drains is in autumn because leaves block the view."I'll be back."0

You obviously didn't read the second post on the thread then or others that followed? Never mind.2sides2everystory wrote: »I did, and I thought it was about time someone told it straight
Where was the conundrum in deciding if the properties concerned are pre 1937 or not?but at least most of these conundrums should now be a thing of the past.

Hi keystone
I was just giving your advice a helping hand - the way you phrased post #2, and the way others piled in and diluted it again with suggestions of enforcement officers up front seemed to have lost the thrust of your original message (I thought
)
I also thought it was worth emphasising that the water company actually owns the shared drains now (with few exceptions that you might wish to discuss further).
I do not dispute you are the man who knows - you are not pre-1937 yourself are you ?
