TalkTalk broadband problems.

We signed with Talktalk inclusive service last May. The phone went live in June and has been fine but the “free” broadband, which went live in August has been awful.
At busy times, typically early evening, it is often impossible to log on. After bitter complaints they capped my speed to 2mbs and this helped for a while but now I have lost all service for 48 hours with no idea when it will resume.
What experiences, positive or negative have you had with TalkTalk?

I'm EXACTLY in the same boat!!! We got the phone line in June, broadband in August, but it's been nothing more than glorified dial up, hanging up when you get a call, not reconnecting unless you reboot, or worst case, not connecting for 2 days afterwards. It's completely ridiculous. I've emailed them several times (as I can never get through on the phone, and don't really wanna talk to someone I can't understand anyway!) but no response...
We're moving house, too, and they're telling me it'll be off for another 6 weeks... So in the first 9 months of our contract, we'll have had no broadband at all for 5 months, and broadband that only works 25% of the time for 4 months.... I suppose, as they say, what do you expect for nothing... But it is just sheer madness!!!0 -
Well our broadband was fine, we upgraded from Talk 2 to talk 3 with broadband last April. We received a letter saying they would upgrade our line on 22/1/7 to provide better service. Ever since they upgraded it we havent had broadband, ive been on the phone to second line supprt every day trying diff things without any luck.
I signed a 18month contrac & if they dont get it going in the next 10days I m going to cancel this contract.
I was happy with them before all this problems, they are moving all the lines over from BT to talktalk so I think there are more problems to come.

My experience is exactly as described above. Our phone line has been upgraded too, and its useless now. The internet doesnt work more than it does work, early evening is hopeless, its like being back on dial up.
Our phone was disconnected for two days, after three phone calls to them from my mobile which cost an arm and a leg, we were finally reconnected.Today I rang them re a rebate on our bill for the cost of the mobile calls and it was initially refused, until I threatened to cancel. Then I was put back through to an English person, who in a very patronizing and amused tone of voice told me she was putting a credit on our acount.
I have phoned back to check and guess what - she hasnt.
I honestly just cant stand the idea of ringing them again and explaining it again. I know we have a contract with them but does anyone know if there is any way we can get out of it? (For the sake of my sanity?)0
