Bulldog: Moving Home, Continuing Contract?

You'd think it would be easy, wouldn't you. You're moving house, so you call Bulldog, get the old line stopped, give them the new address details and get set up in your new home. Since you've already paid one connection charge, you don't expect to have to pay another one, you just continue getting a service from a new address. Maybe the new address isn't with Bulldog. Fine. So a nominal connection fee may be due.
But this is Bulldog we're talking about.
They are suggesting that it's reasonable to charge me a £99 connection fee for my (new build) property PLUS bind me into a brand new 12 month contract!!!
Part of me can understand the twisted logic behind charging me again for connection, although I think it sucks as a gesture of good customer service, but a new contract?! Are these guys nuts?!
Does anyone else have a similar story? Is this at all negotiable? I'm only going to be in my new property for six months and the idea that I can't continue my contract when I've been a perfect customer, always paying on time in full despite their continued billing screw ups astonishes me.

Surely they shouldn't get you to start a new 12 month contract. I can understand charging you a re-connection & installation fee for moving.
