Last day of the holidays before work tomorrow and I'm raring to go. Just done my workout DVD for 50 mins :A
And half way through blitzing the kitchen. I have some ironing to do, but my guilty pleasure is an ironing service every week. It can be anywhere from £17 to £35 per week (I know please don't hate me) but ironing is my absolute pet hate. I would rather lick the skirting boards clean.

So I will compromise and make sure that I do half of it and keep the bills low. I don't have Sky, expensive holiday or go out that often so I feel I can allow one small "treat" (like it's really a treat!)

A NSD yesterday and hopefully another one today. I have prepared lunch for tomorrow and Wed and planned meals for the rest of the week, so on target there.
On Friday I will ring the NW to up the monthly repayment by another £50-100, but need to carefully go through the budget again before we commit.

Have a good day if you're reading :)

Wow, off to investigate setting up an ironing service:rotfl::rotfl:I don't mind it too much but detest weeding and grass cutting! We all have our own personal likes/hates, was discussing this with a friend just the other day - she longs to justify a cleaner but loves gardening...

My DS (12) has done the parkrun with me a few times but I think getting beaten by 7 yr old girls wasn't good for the ego:rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi SS!

Yes I've been overtaken by some 12 year old and bust a gut trying to beat them!

As for cleaning, I find it's good for the soul - just bad for the spirit when the kids mess it up quicker than I can clean it. And I love gardening, I really want to start the mammoth task of pruning my climbing rose, but think we need to take the kids out as it's the last day of the hols...

My Ironing lady is brill, they collect and return the next day and it's charged by the weight (shirts are 40p each, but we don't have many of those as DH works in a creative industry and is quite scruffy!). I think they have an industrial flat bed for the bedding and table cloths because they are as flat as anything.
My Mum loves ironing and would happily do it all day - not me though.
It could be a good little earner - keep me posted ;)

We took the kids to a local sculpture park, had a good walk and lunch which came to £25.45. DH has lost his card for our joint account and had borrowed mine but left it at home, so I paid. He contributed a tenner, and some sainsbo coupons.
We called in on the way back and I stuck religiously to the list (apart from some half price cookies @61p) and with over £10 of coupons it came in at £37.01.

£75.30/£200 spent so far. I know it looks bad on day 2 but I'm confident we can still come in under budget.

I've got £15.43 in my purse and I'm going to make this last until Monday at least. There is nothing on the horizon, so it should be doable!

I have a similar amount left for food shopping and am fairly confident it will last providing I don't sent DH shopping again. He somehow spent £10 on bananas and cream! Have you priced a new boiler? Our bills aren't too high but our boiler is terribly inefficient and desperately needs relocating so I'm currently saving for one. I am not looking forward to spending £3k on it though, would much rather OP the cash!
