Contract Phone Queries

I have a contract phone (blackberry) with virgin media.
I have had contracts from them for almost 3 years.
Recently I washed said Blackberry (oops), and it's unusable.
Will I need to buy a new phone? My contract does not run out until next year so am I right in thinking they will not give me a new one? Should I phone up and ask just in case? What are my options?

    Well it depends on when in 2012 the contract is up!! If it's in the next 2-3 months chances are they will upgrade you. If not you can pick up a BB 8520 for about £130 (£120 plus top up) from car phone warehouse and it will be sim free so you can pop your sim in.

    No harm in asking but you will more than likely have to get a new blackberry phone.

    Might be worth checking that you're not covered on your house insurance - or some packaged bank accounts .
