Pocket sprung latex topped mattress, help please?

*sigh* I have trawled these mattress threads and I am sorry but I just had to start my own one.
I would like a king size pocket sprung (approx 1500 springs) mattress with 2-2.5" of latex topping on EACH side. I am having a nightmare finding one.
I have found the La Romantica Vienna, for about £700, but would like some others to compare it with.
Pleeeeease help, I know there are about 8 million mattress threads, and it must be very annoying but I do genuinely need help!

Anyone know anything about the westminster kensington mattress?0

Have just taken a look at the Kensington, it is a non-turn for a start and it only has a one year guarantee! It also appears to be quite 'cheap' compared to other latex mattresses. Makes me wonder if it has a good layer of latex(some only have latex in certain parts of the mattress as opposed to having a layer across the whole mattress).
They also state this as being medium firmness(which it may well be)
but the one I have(1500 pocket latex BUT non turn) is def extremely firm!!0 -
Why do you want Latex on both sides? It's one of the hardest wearing fillings around at the moment, but also the dearest.
Has someone convinced you that you MUST have a two sided mattress?Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -
I have been wondering if we can turn our latex topped matress over to the sprung side as I find it way too hot tbh and I feel the cold!!0

I have heard of people doing this, I guess it depends on how well the springs are padded on the other side!
Surprised that you find it too hot tbh, I was worried about the same thing so went for latex as opposed to memory foam and haven't had a problem with 'over heating'0 -
Ok thanks devil dog. I know there are very few double sided ones I just thought it would increase the life span of the mattress. May I ask which one you have? Or any non turn ones you recommend?0

From what I understand a 'true' double sided latex mattress would be extremely cost prohibitive. The one I have isn't branded. I purchased online from Factory Direct Beds but they currently do not show these on their site as they have had problems with their manufacturer(of this particular mattress) being reliable!!(my order took approx 6 weeks)If they do find an alternative manufacturer they may be worth a try, they appear to offer a genuine return/refund policy if not suitable and the one I purchased has a 7 year guarantee.
I have only had mine a few weeks(was in same position as you before that) and I found the most helpful thing was reading all the info on the Factory Beds site and then reading through other's questions to them(and their responses - as in did they push their most expensive mattresses) and them bombarding them with questions of my own:)
The mattresses appear to be good quality and I expect it to last.
If you read their section on which brands are manufactured by which companies you will come to realise that you are quite likely paying a premium for a name http://www.factory-beds-direct.co.uk/who-owns-what-mattress-brand0 -
I would have bought a bed from there in a second, I have already looked alot at that site but they are no longer doing the one you have which is the one I wanted0

Maybe worth giving them a call as when I called (chasing my mattress:) )they were looking for alternative manufacturer-you never know!0

I've bought Sealy Katerina 2200 (pocket sprung with latex top), and paid £ 700 for a double. It didn't even last a night. In less than 6 months, it dips over 2 inch. or 5 cm. in the middle. Laying on the side of the mattress is like laying on a slope. Sealy, however, insist that this is perfectly normal.0
