congratulations Auntie Kerri! Bet she's over the moon!

Seems like there are babies everywhere at the mo, some of my school friends are on their second time around (I am 23, left secondary school 7 years ago - I am in no fit state to look after a child lol!)

Met up with my friends last night who have just got engaged for their engagement meal, was nice to see some old school friends (none of those lot have kids too - horrah no baby talk) and it was SUPER cheap - £5 for a pizza! so our total bill for the both of us (3 courses too) was just £25 and the boy paid so very cheap for me!

Oh Pedro I hope your friend is ok, really not nice to see someone in that situation :(

Poor Jakes-Mum's daughter, nothing worse than not knowing what it is! xxx

Not good I'm afraid. Intensive care, ECG, sedation, respirator, food tube... the lot. Quite distressing to see him like that. I'm sure he'll pull through, he's a strong lad :(

Do they still not know what is causing this?! It's so awful hun, I'm sending you the biggest hug possible :A xxx

I have to say I don't envy you on the loan situation. Personally I'd want it paid off.

I'm still torn between the two options. I am still going to go in the branch tomorrow and get the offer in writing and then will ask if there is anyway I could get the rebate this year if I pay them all the interest due. If not then I don't know what I'll do as it's been a noose around my neck for the last 6 yrs taken under unpleasant circumstances and every month I'm reminded about it when the payment comes out...

Another way of looking at it too is that it's £1000 I never knew about so it's not like I have to pay it extra to what I was intending to pay this year. I don't have to make the decision now anyway as I haven't got all the facts and more importantly, I don't have the money saved up yet.

I've decided to borrow the money from my grandma to pay off my other loan as I had it saved but lent it to my younger sister to save her company. It will allow me to pay off the loan and get £400 knocked off in interest rebate. At least that's an extra £400 off the bottom line of my debt. Then I think I'm going to get rid of my credit cards even though they're at 0% as I hate having them...

Kerri, fantastic news about the new addition to your family and I'm glad your sister is well!

Jakes-mum, my sister has had chicken pox 3 times now and 2 of thos were as an adult...

Well done to everyone else for your debt busting, hope today is lovely for you (and your friend starts to recover Pedro :().
A really big thank you as well to all those who have been giving me advice on my loan, I've obviously not made a decision yet but you've made me think of a lot of things that I hadn't thought of! (does that make sense...?! :rotfl:)

I joined through TCB. I lost track of how much money I'd spent initially as OH was on the phone to me, so I spent more than the £20 + £20 bonus, but still came away with about £32 up from them so maybe that's why it's working. I'll protest it otherwise.

Hope your DD gets better soon
