I love watching One Born every minute, I'm just catching up on last nights episode now, are you on any of the episodes?
Jemma I think people have given you some very good advice, I would definitely ring and ask about paying it off early with the interest and still get your cashback though.
Thinking outside the box Jemma.... you could get a better mortgage deal if you pay the debt back this year, as this may impact your credit rating if you repay in 2014 and are trying to get a mortgage before Aug 2014. I only know this as we couldn't increase our mortgage due to a loan. (i hope this makes sense)
Kerri - that is the longest pregnancy ever, I hope she has the baby soon, I feel so sorry for her she must be sick now!I will stop spending on things I don't need

Well I like giving the two fingers to banks, that's why I defaulted on my Lloyds loan because although it's very naughty to do so, I hated their call centres and they kept charging me interest. Now they get 0% interest and I pay the DCA less than I was paying Lloyds wohahaha.
I did the same with HSBC - they cancelled my CC as joint account went overdrawn (hubby had a management loan with HSBC which got redone about three times, and caused loads of problems). So I cancelled the dd to spite them (i was using the cc to buy food, so without it I was up the creek without a paddle, and had no choice really).
They kept chasing me for payment at work etc, finally managed to set-up a payment plan with them and they froze the interest. I was paying them fine with no problems for about 2 years and all of sudden received a phone call from DLC to say HSBC had sold the account to them so now I had to pay them instead.
Very dodgy I thought, as HSBC had not contacted me since setting up the payment plan. Anyway, that all got sorted out and after the birth of my first daughter my payments got reduced further to 1% of the balance! The lady on the phone was very helpful, although not all that I spoke to at DLC were and now my hubby speaks to them as I refuse.
They've phoned up several times wanting more money as "it's going to be a long time before your account is paid". Am I bothered? No! I don't really care how long it takes to pay off at 0% (okay I've got a default against me on my credit file), but I've got a lot more expensive debt to pay off first. And anyway, if I had continued down the road with HSBC, just paying the minimum payment at 19.8% or whatever, it would have taken me around 30+ years to pay off!
Sorry, rant over!£2013 in 2013 £866.71/£2013

hope he's going to be ok *hugs*
We have a baby :T:T they broke her waters around 3am and he was born 4.32am at 7lbs 4oz. He has mahoosively long fingers and his daddy's Jamaican nose. Mum had just gas and air, only one hallucination from too much of it. Both Mum and baby are doing really well, Dad is asleep in the corner and taken the day off work. His big brother woke up at 4.29 and shouted "oh no!" even though he was staying at Nanny and Grandads. He's not got a name yet

Hi camuk81, can you please confirm your paid off figure as this doesn't add up! xxx
Morning Jemma, Must have got too giddy.
Lets try that again.
No 149 Total now paid off is £4,982.29
I have to say I don't envy you on the loan situation. Personally I'd want it paid off.
It always makes me smile when i hear how much public borrowing went down by in the country knowing that I'm doing part of that along with everyone else on this forum.
Hurray Kerri, Glad to hear everyone is doing well. Poor brother!0 -
Pedro - Big virtual hugs for your friend
Kerri - Yayyyyyyyyyy a baby!! weight and name asap plz
Well my daughter has to be a medical marvel, as she has got spots filled with fluid for the 4th time which again look surprisingly like Chicken Pox. I have insisted on an emergency docs appointment this morning which after explaining, the receptionist was happy to give me. Normally i'd just leave her to it, but ive never heard of anyone having chicken pox 4 times (each time confirmed by a doctor ) though I wasnt convinced the first time and got a second opinion, and was told it was pox but not chicken pox . . but still this is still the 3rd time of suspected chicken poxim going to be so annoyed if it is as it means that on the previous times it wasn't and I was paying the bloomin nursery while she sat at home for nothing
