All in the name of romance of course, no underhanded tactics from me in order to gain any advantage, no sir!
And there I was, reading this thinking "awww isn't this sweet, he wants Pedro to take me to a lovely restaurant" which turned into "huh? I thought we were both ganging up on Pedro?!" to "right, that's it boy! No more Miss Nice Girl! Pedro, we are going to the cheapest place possible, in fact, let's just sit in the car, I'll bring the cheap plonk raided from my parents cabinet and not spend anything all night!" wow, I'm having flashbacks... :rotfl:New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

I went out for a walk tonight and had to turn back after about 25mins as my stupid stomach has taken offence to either mango or a meat & potato pie. Not happy as my stomach feels like it has the chinese state circus inside... grrrrrrrrNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Of course! You've taken a really big step so be proud of yourself. :A Try and set mini targets for yourself such as reaching the first £1k mark. I know it's a big deal to get to that first amount and then it becomes easier. Don't put a time limit on it yet, just try and think of different ways to cut down, flog stuff (maybe don't follow Kerri's example though... :rotfl:) or meal planning etc to make small changes. There is loads of advice on here on where to start and I've found that setting a target for NSD's (No Spend Days) per month really helps as I won't get a takeaway if I've got through most of the day without spending anything as I'd lose a NSD. Sounds a bit sad but it gets addictive!!! Baby steps at first and slowly you'll change your way of thinking until you become a bit barmy like this lot who actually sit by the door waiting for the postman so they can pay off more debt!!! xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

I've just had a right weird one on fleabay, someone wants me to send them unwashed underwear!!!! (Well I don't have to see what they do with it do I, and it'll get my debts paid quicker.) Oh my they'll pay £20 for them!!! I only paid £3....(there's a lot of payment envy on this thread, isn't there!? :rotfl:):Debt Free. Have my Van.

Not to worry though, I'm not doing too badly, though don't have anything to add to my total just yet. Some card and loan DDs going through soon, so that'll look slightly better, and more freelance money coming in, so maybe in a few days.
Everyone who's racing to 30, 50 and even 80% paid off well done all of you. Personally, I'm not here to win the marathon, just to set my personal best. Anyway, back to work!
Thanks Superheavy :A Hey, you're definitely still in the race, you could still overtake Pedro... I can trip him up for you if you like...? :rotfl:
Really though, I love your ethos of aiming to achieve your personal best. Keep plugging away and you'll get there hun. We're all going to cross the same finish line and it doesn't matter who's first or last, it's about having so many people here supporting, encouraging and congratulating each other when we achieve our goals xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T
