Ah, hello wendz! So lovely to see you! :D

Well, my message yesterday about Sadie fighting sleep was just the tip of the iceberg! We hit 4pm and she just started screaming! She was unsettled all evening and I won't bore you with the details but I got a total of 3 hours sleep. YAWN!

I've been into town today with my step-mum and her mum as we went looking for material to make Sadie pops a christening gown. We found some beautiful material for £15 per metre but then happened upon a vintage shop and bought a wedding dress made of the same material and it was only ... £15! There is loads of fabric, plus gorgeous buttons - an absolute bargain! We then bought all the cotton and accesories so that along with the pattern we've spent a total of about £25. :D:D

I'm absolutely freezing though and am shattered after last night and expecting a bit of a rubbish night again so am off for now.

    Hope everyone is ok! xxx

Wow, what a find! Sounds like it's going to be beautiful.

Hope you managed a restful sleep and Sadie is more herself x

Oh dear about Sadies sleep, hope you had a better night. I didn't have a great one last night, not sure if she is too cold.

That sounds like a bargain for the material for the christening dress. When are you getting her christened?

    Hello ladies!

We still don't have a date for the christening so can't do much else to get organised. We've handed in the form to the priest and have to wait for him to get in touch and arrange a 'baptismal preparation meeting'. All sounds very complicated! Didn't make church last weekend as we were in London so hoping he'll say something when we go along this weekend.

Today I've checked my banking and have paid my loan and money to the in-laws so have been able to update my signature. Wish I could make some additional payments to get up to £1000 but money is very tight this month and I have a 40th birthday to go to in a couple of weeks.

OH is at college all day Saturday and Sunday so will be a fairly quiet weekend for me and Sadie pops. She has been herself a little more today so think we'll be back on track by tomorrow!

    xx

So, it seems that snow is a little like marmite...

    Are you lovers or haters?

From inside my house in the warm I'm a lover! Think it looks gorgeous. OH has just wrapped up warm and gone out with his camera. Would love to go to the park tomorrow but think it will be too cold to venture out with Sadie baby!!

PS - NSD for me as stayed inside where it's cosy!!

we've managed to avoid the snow so far, but it was quite bad about 10 miles from us, think there been an accident as well, one retail park about 10 miles away people were ringing the local radio station and saying some had been stuck there over 4 hrs trying to get off.

Guess be snow for us 2mor am. xx

    Hi all,

Sorry I've been a bit quiet. Nan's funeral was yesterday which was obviously very emotional and tiring. We had a service in Wales and one in Birmingham and a wake (with all the Irish contingent, so a late night drinking followed - for my darling OH at least!). I was really proud to have been able to stand up and do a reading but emotionally I feel exhausted. Need to get back on track now, new things to focus on again.

    xx

    Hey all,

I'm still here! And still without a properly working laptop. I've had to call the house insurance and am making a claim. I tried to get the laptop repaired but it can't be done. :( So to type now I have had to minimise the website to fit into about a quarter of the screen.

Hope everyone is ok, I will try and catch up with all diaries now but comments may be brief as this is really awkward!! :rotfl:

    Lou xx
