Port Number - Keep Contract

I have a very good contract with Orange that is no longer available. I am currently using the contract with my business (only!) mobile number.
However, I am about to but a mobile specifically for the biz, and so want to port the number from my old phone to the new one - but I want to keep the old one on the old contract - the number wouldn't be important.
Is it possible? If you transfer a car reg then the DVLC issue a replacement plate for the donor car :-)
