  • In my local Asda (Cramlington, Northumberland) today I got some silver dvd boxes reduced from £1.38 to just 10p each! Very fancy forfuture pressies to go in! They also had travel earplugs and eye masks for 50p (both), duvet sets for £3.75, travel laundry bags for 50p (I didn't get those, I just use carrier bags!) and loads of print cartridges for about 5 or6 quid

so is the reduced medicines offer on nationwide or just certain stores do you think? wondering whether it's worth going to asda tonight after kids are in bed (hubby will be home, i'm not leaving them alone!)

  • The medicines were available in the Bolton Burnden Park store so I think it will be nationwide.

I got loads of meds this morning down south - quite surprised that they let me buy so much as most contain paracetemol. The BBF were sept 09 thus stocked up.

Well I just got back with my stock of medicines (and my James Bond DVD!). I stocked up on Lemsip Dry Cough Medicine, Lemsip Chesty Cough Medicine, and Waterproof Plasters and Fabric Plasters. Cough Medicines were 50p and plasters were 48p and 54p. I also got a bag full for my friend. I also got her Beechams cold and flu powders, berry flavour, for 50p - normally 3.65 a box so great bargain!. Also got her Tixylix Baby Cough Medicine and Sanatogen Baby Multivitamin syrup. All 50p each. Again I was surprised they allowed me to buy so many paracetamol based products, but glad they did! They have a long date on them too - 2009. The shelves were empty when I left (they only had 1 or 2 of each product when I got there). I wonder whether they'll be restocking?? That's my medicine cabinet restocked for the next year or so!
