In my local Asda today there were lots of medicines at clearance prices eg Benylin 50p, Sanatogen vitamins 50p, plasters 50p etc. They were on the usual shelf, not in a clearance section.

Don't forget fresh chickens at ASDA for only £2 each. They say 1550 g, but they are all a lot heavier. Cheap meal!!!
Buy 2 and cut the breast fillets off, roast the legs and wings, and make 2 cheap meals.

Thanks trophy wife, I wouldn't have looked down the medical aisle if I hadn't read your post. I stocked up on a few bits and managed to get;

Strepsils extra lozenges £1
Lemsip adults dry cough mixture 50p
Beechams flu plus hot lemon 50p
Beechams flu plus hot berry fruits 50p
Sanatogen kids A-Z multivitamins (30) 50p

Also noticed 3 different brands of children's cough mixture for 50p
pre-pregnancy folic acid tablets 50p
Nicotinell chewing gum 2mg and 4mg in fruit or liquorice flavour 50p!

Some of the reduced stock prices had a red background but not all, so you need to look carefully on the self edge.
