  • I never spend a lot on pillows as I don't like keeping the same ones for too long. £10 per pillow would be my limit.
  • Thanks OP - their mini alarm clocks at £2 look great. I paid way more in Asda and love mine - is it too erly to put some away for 2012 stocking fillers?

never too early! ..just think of all the xmas cards and wrapping snapped up in the sales! might be worth taking battery out (unless mains) in case it leaks?

    Yep, pillows do need replacing.
I am trying to decide between John Lewis's special purchase £30 duck down one and the DPW £63 ultimate goose down one and the DPW £30 silk one. I only need two so I might go for one JL down and one DWP down one as I'm not sure I want to risk the silk one not being able to give it a good squeeze and see if I like it.
I do like soft/low down pillows as I sleep on my side and front (bad I know, but when I'm asleep there's no stopping me!).
Has anyone got the ultimate goose down one or the silk or any other suggestions?
After sleeping on old pillows and thinking of nice new ones I am now convinced I need them lol.

debenhams have some pillows in the sale - plus 10% code on discount board....might be worth a look!
  • Am thinking about getting a mattress topper. However I'll need fitted sheets with deeper sides. Anyone know where I can get some that ain't too pricey?

Do you mean because of the mattress topper? Don't know if i'm lucky but i've always used a mattress topper (a second from thickest Ikea one) and just ordinary fitted sheets - i've never had a problem with the sheets reaching around and that applies to several different brands of sheets.

I bought a mattress topper from duvet & pillow co, which is really good, also bought a fitted sheet from them..depth is larger than normal at 40cm and fits perfectly over topper and mattress...normal fitted sheets are 30cm, so get the 40cm ones and no worries!
