Further reductions in the Duvet & Pillow Warehouse sale, some items over 50% off

Got an email today saying that prices have been lowered further at DAPW. I've just ordered a mattress topper and protector that I've been wanting for a while as they've just come down in price even more since yesterday. Delivery is free for orders over £50 for a limited time as well with a code mentioned on their homepage.

The quality of the stuff they sell is really high, I recommend them to everyone I know, so grab a bargain as the prices as low and the stuff is lovely! :)

  • Can someone explain the differences between mattress topper & mattress protector? I'm looking at the hollowfibre ones as opposed to feather.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I think mattress topper is to give your mattress a bit of a boost and make it more comfy whereas a protector is to protect your mattress from general wear and tear. Hth :)
  • we`ve got a memory foam 2" topper,total waste of time
  • I don't like memory foam pillows or toppers. Did have a Northern Nights feather down mattress topper a few years ago. However, I suffer with allergies so hollowfiber products suit me better.

Hmmmm....I am so tempted to replace my pillows as I have had them 10 years and dread to think what mites and ickies there are in them, but I have such nice ones it'll be £100 to replace just 2 of them.
I have been wanting new ones for ages now.
Do I spoil myself as a new years treat?
Not very MSE of me lol.

Spoil yourself + pillows of 10 years old must be in serious need of replacement.
  • Don't like memory foam myself either, it gives me the shivers. A topper is like a big cushion to make the bed softer, and the protector is like a cover for the mattress though sometimes comes with a little padding.

hvd - yeah, go on! :D Actually, after having those pillows for so long, you'll find any type of new ones quite shockingly springy. I spent about a year trying to find a pillow to replace my old feather and down ones. DAPW are quite good about returns if you don't like the item, so long as you send it back new/spotless and pay the return postage.
Some of their feathery pillows have a central 'chamber' surrounded by softer fillings, which I personally didn't like. I like to make a kind of 'nest' for my head in the centre. Got their Luxury Microfibre pillows in the end and haven't looked back, they are wonderful and very similar in feel to down ones. Duvet is goose down though and it's amazing, though it's lost some of it's oomph after about 3 winters.
  • Hmm think I might get a hollowfibre topper. Just got to find suitably sized fitted sheets.

    Yep, pillows do need replacing.
I am trying to decide between John Lewis's special purchase £30 duck down one and the DPW £63 ultimate goose down one and the DPW £30 silk one. I only need two so I might go for one JL down and one DWP down one as I'm not sure I want to risk the silk one not being able to give it a good squeeze and see if I like it.
I do like soft/low down pillows as I sleep on my side and front (bad I know, but when I'm asleep there's no stopping me!).
Has anyone got the ultimate goose down one or the silk or any other suggestions?
After sleeping on old pillows and thinking of nice new ones I am now convinced I need them lol.

Thanks OP - their mini alarm clocks at £2 look great. I paid way more in Asda and love mine - is it too erly to put some away for 2012 stocking fillers?
