I definitely don't want linen or entertainment passes! The last breakfree holiday I booked did have both added on the invoice with total to pay, however I called Park Resorts who we'd booked and they removed them and we just paid the service charges.0

I haven't received my invoice yet but if anyone does call Haven to remove linen please let everyone know how you get on. The terms of the Breakfree holidays site are very clear, only Service Charge is mandatory. However, sounds like they don't want to make it easy for you to remove linen or passes.
I received my confirmation letter (aka demand for payment!) this morning. An extra £75.50 was added onto my £110.50 already paid. I rang Haven's customer service line and told them I only wanted to pay the service charge (gas & elec) and she took it off there and then. So I paid the £22.50 and she's going to send me an amended booking confirmation thru the post - easy peasy and very helpful. She also advised we're getting a Deluxe Caravan (we booked luxury plus) so am relieved as really didn't want a chalet. :j0 -
Still not got my confirmation letter/demand for payment. Hope I get mine soon!0

I booked for 5 people (2 age 4) and have 72.50 to pay. It looks like its £30 for service charge (£7.50 pupn) and £28.50 for passes (3 @ £9.50) and maybe £14 for linen? im not too sure
My confirmation had no breakdown either - but I went onto the Haven website to pay my service charges and after entering my booking number and some security questions (surname, park and dates of holiday) it gave me the breakdown on the page before the payment screen. HTH x0 -
Thanks noops-77. Got my confirmation, phoned Haven, they removed Linen charge (we wanted the entertainment passes) and paid there and then - no need to wait for a new invoice. All fine, done with no argument.0

Hi - There is apparently a newer 'Holidays in Europe for £20' offer from Breakfree that opened on 9th Feb and requires 5 codes - I can't locate them anywhere in the forums and am having difficulty posting this as a new thread - Can anyone assist me in locating the 5 codes, please
Many thanks0 -
Could it be the offer that was in some local papers? I looked at the time, but the codes were not printed in any of my local papers.0

In case anyone is looking at this thread and wondering about breakdown of extras I thought I'd comment. I recently booked a cheap holiday through Breakfree holidays. I suppose it was a late deal offer as it was less than 8 weeks to the holiday, but it was for the Haven Seashore at Great Yarmouth. Breakfree holidays did explain in their extras, service charge would be £7.95 per unit per night and there were entertainment passes at £6.50 each. My email confirmation came from Haven and showed the Passes (which we have got given for free, suppose there's not alot going on that week); Power charge (which threw me initially until I realised it was the service charge) and linen at £14. It does state nicely in the letter that they have "added linen to your booking for your convenience, but if you'd rather just bring your own then give us a call on [tel no]...alternatively.....email customerservice@haven.com."
As we've got the passes for free we accepted the linen as it was more convenient but at least they give you the option to cancel. It's a shame these options aren't available when you book the holiday but I guess breakfree are just acting as agents. I was sure the booking wouldn't have been accepted (I'm always looking for the catch with a bargain lol) but it's gone through fine. Hopefully the caravan will be nice (though I opted for the £18 luxury plus.) When I first stayed at this site as a child the family chose a standard caravan and it really was the basic van. We moved up a grade the following year, and then lastly up another grade and stayed in nice caravans ever since, so for me it's worth that little extra if you can stretch to it.0
