Hi there i have booked to go to Haven Devon cliffs in April in Luxury caravan. Anyone know how easy it would be to upgrade and the cost? Just a bit worried that the van may be a bit chilly and i have a baby and two 6 year olds. Would i ask to upgrade once there or before we go?

i think the luxury vans have heating in the rooms.

Also not entirely sure which grade of caravan luxury is according to the Haven website. Anybody know this?

I've booked to stay at Haven Rockley park for 4th May - 3 nights, but completely forgot my oh is on a stag weekend then, so we wont be able to go. Such a shame as I've wanted to try that park and it always seems to book up quick.. I've emailled them to see if they would change it, but as per the T+C's they wont.. I'm not surprised, but thought I'd try anyway.. I don't know what to do about the service charges etc now as I've not paid them yet.. I suppose I just tell them I'm not coming?

traceyed1 - see my post above #186 for what I think are the Haven equivalents. We booked a Luxury April last year at Devon Cliffs, through The Sun offer, it had heating in bedrooms. According to The Mail only Prestige is guaranteed to have heating in all rooms, but Haven Deluxe Plus (which may be equivalent to Luxury Plus) does have heating in bedrooms. If you're worried, take small fan heaters for the children's rooms.

I realised I have contradicted myself in two posts above! Last year booked Combe Haven, Standard through The Sun. Haven asked us to move booking to Devon Cliffs as they overbooked so I asked for a free upgrade as compensation to what they said was "next step up" ie Luxury. The caravan had heating in bedrooms but I don't know what Haven would have classified it as if booked through them. It was 12ft wide so I would guess Deluxe or Deluxe Plus. We were very impressed by the quality of the accommodation so this year decided to pay the extra for Luxury Plus.

I was so excited about this but have made a rookie error!

For some reason, I didn't check Trip Advisor before I booked (which I ALWAYS do before booking a holiday). Got so excited that St Ives was on the list so booked that park then read the reviews - oh dear! It gets absolutely slated - apparently its damp and mouldy and in a time warp.

I know it's been asked before but do you think they would allow me to swap to another park? I really don't fancy spending over £100 in fuel to get there to what sounds like disgusting accommodation!

Anyone got their confirmation in the post yet? I have not got mine and I am worried as emailed Breakfree and they said I may get a chalet at Seaview Haven. I hope not, paid for luxury plus which I thought was caravan?

I'm still waiting for my conifrmation too. We also booked luxury plus, but at Hafan Y Mor and we've puzzled for a while over which accommodation we're getting. Good luck - hope you get a decent one!

They said they cannot guarantee at ANY park if its chalets on caravans so I am worried!
