Next doors cats

Have been in new house for over a year now and have a cat problem.
We have three aging cats of our own and they are frightened to go outside because of next doors cat who bullies them.
The house was empty for 2 years before I bought it so next doors cat thinks its his territory - no problem with other cats in my garden (apart from the bullying)
However the problem that really grips my s**t is that it has started coming in the house and spraying!!!! also eating my cats food as they lay upstairs afraid.
I caught him once and errmmm lets say gave him a nice cold bath
for about 2 minutes dunking him - then threw him out the house. Thought this would put him off but less than 2 hours later - back in the house. Short of finding him a permanent place in the garden
what else can I do!?!

Can you fit a catflap which has magnets in - and only lets in your cats, which wear the magnetic collars?0
-
are you cats microchipped? if so a catflap that works with their microchip might work but it more expensive than a normal catflap £50-£80.
Got to agree with your partner its been about 7 years seen I put a collar on my cats. Even with the safety release we found several hanging from tree branches. The male cat only has a harness on when he goes to the vet, as he figured out how to get out of his box.0 -
Blimy - never knew you could get cat flaps so tecnical All cats chipped so ill google now to see where I can get one. Anyone got one of these? Do they work well?0

I have a catflap that reads my moggies microchips. I cannot begin to express how wonderful they are. I had a problem with the neighbourhood bully coming in and scaring mine and decided that enough was enough. They are pricy but worth their weight in gold.0

Cats urinate on an area to mark their territory.
It might sound absurb but perhaps if you could put some of your cats' urine around the door, it may deter the the next-door neighbour's cat.If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!

Could you try the magnetic collar cat flat, just for a few weeks? If the neighbours cats find that they can no longer get in, then may just stop trying after a couple of weeks. You can then just set it back to open normally, without the magnets. Ours both wear collars with safety catches, and have never had issues with them.
Aside from that, I would keep a lucozade sports type bottle of water handy, and squirt them if they come into the house/garden. It's not cruel, and will deter them. However, I wouldn't dunk them in cold water again.0 -
