Could you put them in a row on a shelf or mantlepiece and use them as savings 'jars' for different things?

Grow cress, herbs etc in them! Will look very pretty lined up on the windowsill. Or little planters on the patio - a group of them, some raised up on other mugs/pots will look quite showy with pretty small flowers, lobelia or busy lizzies etc :)
Putting these winter preps here so I don't forget!

I've used matching ones in the bathroom as toothbrush holders and for mascara, make up brushes etc Looking around, I've got them in my kitchen for teaspoons near the kettle, bedroom has one with scissors, emery boards, orange sticks in, the kitchen cupboard has one for small screwdrivers (I could never find one in an emergency!) I must admit that most of them have a pen in too but at least I can find a pen when I want one!:)

I use them for decanting a small amount of milk into when brushing pastry/ whisking eggs. As jewellrey holders when washing up/ to clean jewellery in. My parents have always used them to soak dentures in overnight! By the sink to hold sponges, dishcloths etc. For kids to hold brushes, pencils, empty glitter into, hold glues etc when doing crafty activities. Or you could display them on a high shelf with the chip to the back, as people do with teapots etc- they can make pretty ornaments.

  • Well Christmas has just passed but one year my friend went one better than putting tealights in them and bought some wicks and wax and made proper trendy candles from cups she'd bought from charity shops etc as presents. They were pretty and made lovely gifts.
