Remember those of you who are struggling, it's not only AFDs that count towards cutting down. If you can try to enjoy a drink without going mad, it's all progress.
Thank you maman Yes I do need to remember this! Last night was better, and although I was not AF I managed to stop after a couple of glasses.
Very gloomy here think it might be an indoor cleaning day today!
Have a good Saturday everyone0 -
Maman- thanks for that advice. You are right actually. For example, last night wasnt AF, but i only had 1 bottle of beer, whereas not so long back i would have had at least 3 or 4. And the other night when i bought some wine, i only had 2 glasses from the bottle instead of the whole bottle.
I guess its all progress isnt it.0 -
Other half and I have drank every day since September 2011. Stressful jobs & disposable incomes mean that every night we are having 2 or sometimes 3 bottles of wine. When I know I'm going to have booze inside I start having an internal "excited" feeling. It is worrying me! For Lent I managed 4 clear days only!Quit Smoking 12 years 2 months.0

13 AF please Shaggy
For those that are struggling, I wholly agree with maman, at least your drinking is more controlled - in my eyes, probably better than being AF and wondering when you are going to have your next drink - that's just me I hasten to add
Took the kids dog racing last night, and a quiet day planned today - I am so bored already0 -

:wave:stupotstu, that's exactly where I was when I joined this thread and what was worse I knew I always had the larger 'half' of each bottle I shared with DH.
I won't pretend it's been easy (in fact it was VERY hard to start with) but if you force yourself to have an AFD and build on it, it can be done.
What's your plan?0 -
