Would this work? Dual sim

OH has a BT mobile sim supplied by his work which he uses in an old non smartphone mobile.

We have moved to an area where the BT mobile reception is very poor and in particular there is no reception in the house. Changing the work sim is not an option.

I know O2 works here.

I wondered if I could just get him a dual sim phone adding a giffgaff sim for emergency calls out when out of reception but he could make most calls from his original sim and
1) either tell his contacts the two phone numbers to try
2) just forward all calls/texts from BTmobile sim to GG sim so that he receives all calls/texts no matter where he is. ( also would there be a cost implication ie charge for incoming calls?)

He likes the current simplicity of a flip phone that doesn't accidentally turn on in his pocket. He has fat fingers and didn't like the touchscreen qwerty keyboard on my smartphone.

So my questions are
a)would my idea work?
b) any recommendations on phone please?

I have been looking at buying the 100 version of this as a basic phone that does calls, texts, and the odd bit extra on a budget.
This is the dual SIM version, I believe they run about £40.

I know you've said that changing the work SIM is not an option, but has your husband talked to them about the possibility of them switching operator? It does seem that they're losing out by not being able to contact him at home (though I'm sure he loves it!)

as far as i am aware Nokia 101 only lets you have one sim active at a time although it lets you have two sims at a time. for example if you have a voda and o2 sim in it.....first time when you turn on voda will be active and o2 sim is inactive when you restart vice the verca.
I would check more reviews though.
