Good evening folks from an unseasonably mild NI:T
I hope you all had a good day and grabbed as many NSDs as possible. I'm declaring NSD9 for today please:beer:If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.
£2 savings jar £300:D
Total credit card debts £1250:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: - Will I ever learn!!0 -
First nsd for me today and it felt just soooooo gooooooodd. So that is me at 1 NSD!!!!!APR NSD - 0/10
Paid off in 2013 so far £125.00
April Money made - £18.000 -
Evening everyone. Well I think I am finally claiming NSD #3 :j
As expected I went to the Post Office to post ebay parcels, so that didn't count (I also managed to pay cash, so had some change to put in my Sealed pot as well - I hope that doesn't cancel out the NSD). I also banked a bag of 5ps that I forgot to do the other day. OH was going to go to the supermarket on the way home, but I've managed to find enough food to make dinner tonight. The only doubt is I had a vet visit for my horse today. It was planned, but I don't pay the money until I get the bill at the end of the month, so I think I will count that day as a spend day rather than this one. It certainly wasn't an indulgence
Thanks for all the suggestions on lunches! My "doubt" about the cost is that I make regularly, and adore, the Nigella breakfast bars, but when I costed up the ingredients, they don't work out cheaper than the equivalent bars I buy (albeit I didn't weigh a slice vs the Kellogs ones). I have a big appetite, and am quite slim so need to eat a fair bit, so a sandwich is never enough for me. If I buy work from the staff canteen (subsidised) it's usually a full on hot meal. Stir fry, or pasta dish, or curry or something. However I guess the bonus of making your own, cost aside, is that you know what goes in it. So I will endeavour to be more creative and try to get a few lunches in my repertoire. I'm Scottish, which means soup is in our genes, so that's a good start :rotfl:0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37

Hello
Just popping in to declare nsd#7 for today, and 3 in a row! Yay... much easier to have nsd's with work getting in the way.
lmh I'm getting married in August this year, and need every penny I can get, even though we intend it to be quite a mse wedding.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -
8/10 here
I do agree that bringing your own lunch is better. We've an overpriced cafe in our building, and the one at the newer building is even more costly. You've got the Phillpotts crew or "I am unaffected by the recession" crew. My sandwiches and warm meals are more tastier....

Maybe you could take in soup and a sandwich or two for lunch?
What gives me satisfaction in making my own (and I'm a very keen baker too) is,like you say,I know exactly what goes in it.No E numbers,glucose-fructose syrup or palm oil etc.
I wonder how the ingredients list reads on those breakfast bars?I don't know them.0 -
No. 4 please
Woo hoo.:j
I've got lots of jars in the cupboard and am just thinking about making some marmalade with that MaMaid stuff.

Don't worry,I know exactly what you mean!
With me,it is (was) handbags.I have quite a few in different styles.I don't think that I'll ever let myself buy another new handbag.I couldn't justify it.
I have found some lovely 'old lady' handbags in charity shops and have paid peanuts for them.I also found a Christian Dior red leather clutch -well my Mum found it and gave it to me,and again that cost peanuts.Very simple styles and such elegance.I don't feel dainty enough myself to use them though.I do treasure them though.Maybe one day...
You've got me started now!0 -
Just a quick stop off for me tonight, feeling really tired.
Wannabe - I had a quick look in S'Drug at lunchtime and they have kids chewable Omega-3, but have a sneaking feeling it's the 3,6,9 you need?
Well, NSD #4 for me. Bought a pot of NY soup Co soup at lunchtime from Mr T but had a JTD (well actuall I have 2 more but can only use 1 per transaction) that has tomorrow's date on which covered it
Returned 2 cardis in the post as well which had been hanging about waiting to be sent back - finally feel like i'm catching up with normality post-xmas.
LMH - still can't decide on the xmas cards, was going to look at what I currently have tonight but really tired
Tomorrow will be a spend day as I need to put lotto on and so will thurs as i'm going loo roll shopping in L!dl (also going to pick up one of their Inferno pizzas if they have them as a treat for OH) It's slowly but surely for the tally this month it seems. But on the upside, my CCC 2012 budget is still intact :AFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I have some here for making up, but am going to try doing it in my new breakmaker rather than a pan this time - purely 'cos the instruction leaflet has details for making it up that way, and it saves me having to remember to keep stirring itCheryl0
