:eek::eek:
Well the supervisor saga continues .........morning meeting this today she told we would have to work Saturdays at quarter ends this year. I had heard this thro the grapevine, but no-one had the decency to tell me ( I'm "only" PT, remember?)
I had the audacity to ask if we were getting paid for this, or is it TOIL? Our contract says that we need to work extra as and when the business requires. They use this as a catch-all to get away with not paying us OT.
The result is I have to go for a "chat" this afternoon re my attitude I guess ( I'm not toeing the line after refusing to stay late last week) I'm ready to blow a gasket!
Is it me? I feel like a bolshy cow, but I am so !!!!!! off! I would just like to be left to get on with my work!:mad::mad:
Sorry for rant - I am really miserable with this but trying not to let it get me down.
((((((((((((((((((big hugs))))))))))))) hun, supervisor is definitely a twonk!!!
I agree with the writing things down, & was also thinking, are you in a union? If so now might be the time to contact them for support....
Hang in there though, you are in the right, surely she will have to accept that soon?
Just read your other post, i know it is really getting to you, but i'm not sure another meeting to clear the air would be the best thing right now. It sounds like supervisor is gearing up to be confrontational, & another meeting may give her the chance to make you feel worse.
I would say just keep going in, doing your job & being the ultra professional you are & let her dig her own hole.... but at the end of the day, you know the situation better than any of us, so also use your instinct to decide what is the right thing to do.February NSD challenge 5/150 -

NSDs for yesterday and today please, taking my final total to 20 and I've reached my 3rd target. :jNSD Challenge January 2/15
PAD Member since 18/7/11 - Total paid to date £8885.190 -
Jinty, your mgr is not just a twonk but a TOTAL twonk  Big hugs to you and I think you're doing amazingly well to keep your cool, I am sure I would have called my mgr something somewhat stronger than a twonk by now if I were in your situation xx
Well....NSD #14 IN THE BAG!!!! :j *oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah* (words to be accompanied by that Rikki Lake style hip swinging arm circling thing)
A definite improvement on my pretty dismal second half to the year (though in my defense I did discover couponing and glitching in Aug last year and have a nice stockpile and store cupboard thanks to that and all the lovely folks who contribute to those threads)
Also managed to sort out my mobile upgrade today, decided on a handset and negoitiated £5 a month off my contract (well not so much negotiated as asked if it could be reduced at all and the mobi co said 'ok') Means I save about the amount as I would get moving for a cashback deal which is good, esp as I'm more than happy with my callplan. And got the last one in stock of the handsets that I had chosen
On the not so MSE side, previously mentioned bra wire was retrieved from our washing machine this morning for the tidy sum of £45  in addiotion to that, a second one which wasn't mine was also pulled out...i shall be having words with OH about that later :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Not counted as a personal spend because after some umming and ahhing, I decided it was ok to pay from the house account as a maintenance bill.
See you on the Feb thread :beer:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Not a NSD for me as a lovely person on my diary thread found me a link which has got me £60 (!!) discount on my annual cinema pass, and the offer was too good to resist
Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday Rising, Beanie and (hopefully) Jinty0 -
11.30 is ok with me.
Nowhere these days in St James Centre thats reasonably priced?
24 yesterday & 25 today.
The St James Centre doesn't really have anywhere that nice that isn't overpriced. I mentioned the Omni centre to Rising as there's a couple of bars in there which serve coffee and being of the Weatherspoons ilk are cheap and cheerful :money:0 -
