  • Very bad luck. Such an unexciting thing to spend hard earned money on.
    Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
    Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

    I know its devastating to me as I will have to use all my savings and it will clean me out and I will have nothing really to show for it. I am gutted but I have to think that it needs doing and it could prevent damp I suppose in the long run. :(

    Pammy, that's a shame but hopefully just a blip in your MF journey. I hope the scaffolding can sorted, surely there has to be a way of working around the extension.

    So far in my MFW journey -

    Overpayments 2009 - £3500 ............. 2010 - £6288 ............. 2011 - £8400 .............2012 - £7000
    Total Ops so far £25,188 over 3 and half years


    Feb 2008 - Start of my mortgage was £90,000 - MFD - Feb 2032 - with a term of 24 years
    Dec 2011 - £58352 – EMFD - Dec 2019 - 96 (8 yrs) payments left
    Dec 2012 - £44175 - EMFD - Nov 2018 - 71 (5yrs 11 months) payments left


    Compared to the above graphs last year here is this decembers :D

    I have filled in 13 bricks in 2012 :)

    This year wont start very well with me having to save to get the proper house bricks sorted :mad: but cant start off the new year without any OP its like an addiction so I have OPd £100 :cool: Cant see me making my total of £500 per month in January unless a miracle happens!
