  • Just wanted to give a quick update...

Finally found a new car and made some tidy savings :T

decided on a Ford KA luxury 2001.

saved £205 on the asking price and pushed for 12 months road tax throw in , so £125 there, (on top of a full years Mot and a service) :D

By downsizing motors ive also saving almost £300 in insurance per year...and the savings on a weekly basis for petrol are yet to been seen but should be around £20 a week!!
:T:T:T....Only down side is i can't get my mitts on it until tuesday :)

    Hello all *big waves!*

Feels like I've not been on for aaaages, although it's only been a few days! At least I have some updates though.
First of all is that BABY IS HERE!! :j:j:j He was born just perfectly and we are all home safe and sound!
Look forward to Hopless coming back to report the same soon!

On the money making front, also some updates!! :D

Had a couple of freebies into my accounts from some betting websites that I've previously registered with for Matched Betting, and managed to turn a free £5 into £15 on Roulette, and a free £2 into £10.05 as well! So £25.05 to add there. Should have another to play through but it doesn't seem to be working so will get on to their customer services!
I'm adding £10 that we were given by my grandparents to get something for the baby as I'll use this for something we need and pay what we would have spent off the CC.
£1.75 for being a dead letterbox address.
2 more vouchers from S&S / CP as well so £20 there!
So I make that £56.80 altogether. No idea at all what I was up to, so hopefully will be a nice surprise in a sec when I update my sig, as I don't think I was doing tooooo badly before!

Have had a few NSDs this week what with being in hospital, although OH probably evened that out as he probably spent more what with buying drinks/sandwiches etc. Feeling fairly positive though with finances at the moment, although that's probably because I'm just generally optimistic and happy at the moment! :o:D

Could some kind person try and login to Paypal for me, who uses the security key thing where it sends a code to your phone, and let me know if it works, or if it's just me!?!

    Congratulations Monkeynut!!! :T:T:T:T:T

Lovely news & glad you are all home and settling in. I am utterly impressed you are thinking money saving and the challenge with a new baby but you go girl and keep those positive happy vibes going - its lovely. :D

Couple of ebay sales ending later tonight which look like will leave me with an £8 - £10 profit if bids stay as they are. Won't update totals on Ebay stuff until Monday when posted and I can work it out exactly (have spreadsheets galore since finding this thread:rotfl:).

Good amount there Izzoh and well done! What's the score with writing reviews? It's something that I have never looked into before.

Right, off to get my 2 monkeys bathed and mobilised to bedfordshire. Have a good evening x
