Nothing much for me today except that I used a £5 voucher from the Daily Mirror for my shopping at aldi. Taking off the 45p for the paper saved £4.55.
I always shop at MrTs but now they don't take competitors coupons I will shop elsewhere. I also seemed to get a lot more for my money at Aldi especially the fruit & veg.
    Jan £10 a day £326.75/£310

Joined MSE today, so complete newbie... my reason for joining? Ideas and support for reducing my debt and increasing my income

Seems like this challenge is a good place to start. Please can I join?

Hi Mumtothree3, welcome to MSE :hello:
of course you can join the challenge, but we are nearly at the end of January, so probably better if you join the Feb challenge. :)

    Will put up linky soon.

    Re: Superpoints

Am I right in thinking you get more for your points by claiming the $10 paypal rather than the £5 amazon giftcard. Thanks
Typically confused and asking for advice

Yes in sw@g amazon is better value but in superp0ints paypal is better value. $10 works out as about £6.30 (though the exact amount varies from day to day).

I cash out for the £5 paypal - comes to about £3.18-£3.26.

The $10 paypal probably is more than the £5 amazon giftcard.

Evening folks. Well, a big fat zero for me today. Have spent all afternoon sat in a playbarn with my 2 boys who were invited to 2 seperate parties that just so happen to run back to back so not got a great deal done today TBH. Kids had fun though!

Yikes re: your little man Catherine - I had no idea you could react like that having touched a spider. Glad he is OK now though and well done on the road kill!! :)

:hello:to everyone new to posting and planning to join in Feb's challenge. There is a whole host of very helpful people on here and you will be soon making extra bits of money here and there before you know it. BTW - thanks for the shiny new thread Aesop :D

I am now getting the hang of SB's I think and am now on 400 points again, which considering I cashed out my first ever voucher 5 days ago is fairly OK going (thanks to tips from here of course x).

Have managed to get 10 new items photographed for Ebay so will aim to get them listed tomorrow.

ps. Just had an ebay sale which will make £22.05 profit after fee's and postage. A little unexpected but that target is nearly within grabbing distance!
