Sold a handbag on Ebay, profit roughly £40 - so that means I've hit my target for Jan! :j

It was only a small target (£2 a day = £62) but now I am on £78.09! So pleased. There is another sale going through tonight, and I also plan to carry on in Feb. Thanks for everyone's help on here :D

Sweets, don't be silly. That's still £11.25 you wouldn't have had otherwise!

I've got some interest on some of DS1s old clothes on a Facebook selling site, so hopefully will be able to offload a few bits and pieces, as we've more than we really have space to keep for DS2!! (Plus it means I can get him some new - well, second hand new of course - bits so that he has some different things, and OH won't realise as there won't actually be any more stuff!! :o Shhhh :D)

Well, I have made yet another ebay sale and managed a ridiculously huge profit.........so much so that I cannot quite contain myself............yup - I made 86p!!!!! :rotfl:

Oh hum! This last £50 of target is killing me. Not sure I will make it but am hanging in there. So sweetpeas, you are a positive millionaire with your £11 odd ! :p

Try not to get too disillusioned with the old ebay folks. January has got to be one of the worst ebay months as everyone is broke. Things will pick up again.

Iloveshoes I agree, ebay buyers can be a complete pain in the derrier at times. I have found that I generally have more issues with dresses than any other item. People buy them, they dress does not fit and then they try every which way to get their money back. Unfortunately, thanks to paypal buyer protection you have no choice but to refund. The whole postage issue drives me INSANE too (I have ranted in the past re: similar issues). I usually am furious initially re: the situation, but after a few days pass if I am honest I generally calm down and refund the return postage. Its generally only a few quid and I let it go as I don't want it to eat me up (and believe me it would nag at me a whole lot longer looking at an unfair negative rating on my account for a year). Ultimately, its up to you and it depends on how much the negative would bother you versus the principle of the thing.

Catherine - how sweet are your little ones!!! Adorable :)

ps. Cashed out my first ever SB amazon voucher & feel like I have graduated!!

Really struggling now...need to add ebay profits when I work it out, but wont be v much...£12 tesco vouchers used today that I'd been saving to use on a reward but there was nothing in particular I wanted so thought the £12 off a shop would be more useful!

    *edit* not gonna make target...gutted.

Nothing much to report from me except I have been busy loading songs onto my Ipod. Can't wait until I have enough voucher to get the docking thingy.
Pleased to see everyone doing so well.

  • I discovered a few months ago local selling groups through facebook. Basically in the search at the top if you look up "Buy and Sell (then the area you are from" you are bound to find a local selling groups. I have made £60 from things this week that are eiter stuck at the back of cupboards or in bags ready for the charity shops (Charity Def begins at home). people will collect from you so no ebay seller fees or postage. I have also delivered to others for an extra couple of £'s but onlt if it is somewhere I will be passing on journeys i make...... If there isn't a selling group in your area, well set one up :) if you want to look at the board local to me look up Buy and sell anything in Leamington, Warwick area.. There is also a used baby stuff and kids page.... the list is endless xxx Happy selling
