  • Ok this is interesting. I had a thought today that I might get some vouchers for B&Q as we could do with a new bathroom - well sort of, new loo and sink and a re-tile which could be done in stages and I'm getting quite a few vouchers already this year so many Amazon will still come in for next christmas...so anywhoo; I digress I went to look at Maximiles as I know they did them and I wanted to work out the best cost effectiveness etc. (if B&Q were dearer I'd get amazon) - this is where it gets surprising. This is the list for how many points in the £ for vouchers - B&Q, Argos etc (note the price per £ at £30 and at £50) plus a bit like Superpoints, Amazon is dearer.... just need to check with hubby but I think my minds made up and vouchers will be ordered as I'm on just over 7,000 points.

    B&Q, Argos, Arcadia, Currys, Debenhams:
    £10 voucher – 3,000 Maximiles – 300 per £
    £15 voucher – 4,450 Maximiles – 297 per £
    £20 voucher – 5,900 Maximiles – 295 per £
    £25 voucher – 6,400 Maximiles – 256 per £
    £30 voucher – 7,000 Maximiles – 233 per £
    £50 voucher – 12,300 Maximiles – 246 per £
    £65 voucher – 15,800 Maximiles – 243 per £
    £85 voucher – 20,000 Maximiles - 235 per £

    Amazon:
    £30 voucher – 8,400 Maximiles – 280 per £
    £50 voucher - 14,000 Maximiles – 280 per £

Thanks for this - seems like the £30 voucher is the best value then! I have 5000 points do far, hoping to get to 7000 in the next few weeks and I'll be going for a voucher (probaly B&Q too)!!
  • No problem. I have the list of points needed in a word document with the plan to work out the best value for money just didn't get around to it.

If anyone wants any of the other vouchers checking please let me know as I can always post a list.

  • Good list Aiming High, mind you one of the reasons I prefer Superpoints to maximiles is the rewards rate is the same whether it's 500 or 50,000 points you are redeeming.

    that's true....but not.

a £5 Amazon is 1,000 points yet a $5 Paypal is 500 points which is equal to just over £3 GBP so better value for money.

I do both and more, because payout times vary for them both and they don't take long to do.
