  • Okay, am officially pooped.

Tomorrow will see all but three eBay items all posted, what a few days this has been. But very VERY profitable :) and has led to what goes next and how.

1 - 147 = various items sold on eBay and posted.
148 = big bag full of bubble wrap and packaging, used.
    149 - 153 = five cardboard boxes, used.
154 = carrier bag full of various bits of paper from packing etc, bin.

Tomorrow I shall be tackling the hospital supplies: enormous bag (think Father Xmas sized sack) full to bursting with an assortment of medical stuff. If hubby was fit, we could play Drs and nurses for weeks woohoo:eek:

Net storage hangers are up and filled, :T floor is clear and reminds me the carpet needs cleaning!!:)

Have also now GOT to tackle the storage in our kitchen, woefully bad design but not our house so it has to be.

Seems everyone has been hyper productive this last week, well done all:T

  • Today I took a big bag of previously listed items to the Scot's Kirk for their book sale.

    Also,10 jars of HM jams/chutneys to family.:j

  • Am very impressed with all the efforts on here! :)

    Minor activity last night -

    Hello Kitty clock binned
Italian course book removed from shelf and put aside for next week for someone in my Spanish conversation group who is learning Italian
    Tesco Direct catalogue recycling
Box brought down from loft for ebay items to reside in

I did something silly. Last week I bought a book off ebay. Last night while in the loft rummaging in boxes I came across the exact same book which I already bought a few years back! If anything proves I need to declutter it's that :D

    Hi Everyone

I'm not feeling good about my decluttering this week. I have managed to throw away a couple of items, mainly old toiletries and cosmetics, also gave our son some old glasses and a rug which I'd forgotten about. The rug had been stored in the loft and all wrapped up to keep it clean, hubby found it up there when I suggested we needed a new rug! :rotfl:

I'm sorting out the all the laundry products, do we really need hand wash powder, detainer stuff, tumble dryer perfumed paper thingys, and a multitude of washing powders?

    Keep up the good work,

    Pj

Ps. While he was in the loft he kindly passed down 3 black sacks for me to got through! I've not touched them yet.

    Afternoon all.

Hope everyone is fine and dandy today?

Have dealt with the medical supplies; not really thrown more than a few bits of packaging away but totally tidied whole lot into two boxes which can be stored neatly so am pleased with that.

Might tackle the tins cupboard later....

    Have a good day all.

  • Good afternoon folks, I really feel as though I can see a big difference and I've decided how I am going to treat myself. I hate cleaning, so from November (when my flat sale goes through) I'm rewarding myself with a regular cleaning service. At least then they will have something to clean rather than working around boxes, too much furniture etc etc. And it means the more I've sorted, the more rooms they can be let loose on. :)

I've brought in some seagrass small baskets from the garage and swapped over contents so that the cleaning materials in the bathroom/toilet can be contained in washable plastic baskets.

    And still it comes -
    1 chipped plate to bin
    1 sheet to cs
    2 undershelf-shelves to cs
    1 book rest to cs
    1 ornament to cs
    1 zipped briefcase to cs

    Afternoon.

So far this afternoon ive thrown a few bits away (old tin foil and baking parchment screwed in back of drawer, already had bought new stuff lol). Sorted all the dogs stuff and threw away an old collar which is too small, and moved everything from an open tatty to look at basket into a nice lidded box. Not sure where i will store it yet but im happy with that.

Ive also decided to try and free up as muh 'side' space. Basically any horizontal surface needs to be as clear as possible to add to my challenge. Think it will make the place look so much better :) Just having a little break before i continue :)

Going Charity shop later with my plastic bags and the rather big easel/chalkboard the kids dont use as its too ruddy big for me to keep out :o

  • I'm going to jump on the list as well :)
My local charity shops won't take books, kitchen things or anything electrical - some only take clothes and shoes. My mam has become involved in collecting stuff for her local Hospice, who have a lot of car boot sales, auctions and the like to raise cash, which is helping me to give stuff away.

So far this month it's two boxes of books, two large bin bags of craft magazines and supplies and two boxes of kitchen things (teapot for one, ice cream bowls, novelty "stuff", doubles of things). Have also shredded and recycled years worth of bank statements and bills (must have weighed a stone!).

Nice to see some space opening up in shelves and presses :)

  • Had a twenty minute blitz in the kitchen. Packed and ready for a new home are..
    George Foreman grill (to MIL)
    Crepe pan
Wine vaccuum stopper thingie (never have leftover wine :D)
    Metal fairy cake tin
    Silicone chocolate pot mould
    Wok
    Little milk jug

Got rid of a load of recycling and sorted through my empty jam jar collection (hoping to get some good blackberry pickings this weekend). Kenwood chef has now been moved to the press where the grill lived and the counter is looking much clearer. This decluttering is addictive stuff!
