Upgrading through TopCashBack?

Hi everyone, I have searched the forums and cant find any information to help with my question, which probably means its an obvious answer I am missing.

Anyway, I would appreciate your help if you can offer advice.

Both my g.f. and I are with orange, our mobile contracts have expired and were just continuing with the pay monthly plans we are on.

We have read a lot about topcashback on here and the deals seem great, we are wondering if we can upgrade through topcashback keeping our existing numbers or if we need to change our numbers or network?

Do we have to cancel our contracts and sign up for new ones?

We are confused! hopefully someone here can point out how simple things are.

Any advice is appreciated, Thank you for your help! :)

(If there is already info on here that answers our questions a link would be great to point us in the right direction!!)

Thanks again, we are TCB virgins and dont know how it all works.

You can upgrade trough third parties like CPW/e2save/osps/mobiles.co.uk or p4u/d-a-p and you are likely to get a better deal than by upgrading directly with your network.
However, I think you cannot upgrade through TCB. You can buy a new contract and then transfer your number to it. AFAIK, O2 and Vodafone allow transferring the number within the same network. With other networks you'll have to port the number in two steps via another network PAYG sim.
