    Hi there,
    Please may I join in?

I have recently moved house and have sorted my toiletries into boxes: Hair 1 (shampoo and conditioner), Hair 2 (serums, volumisers etc), Body (moisturisers / tanning cream etc), Shower (scrubs / gels / soaps etc) and Feet and Face (somehow have less of these - hope not to confuse foot scrub with face scrub!!!!). I know that with the amount I've got already that they won't be used up within the 100 days, but i certainly won't need to buy any more.

I also don't need to buy any make-up. I don't wear very much anyway, but the last lot of powder I bought was 3 for £10 in Avon in the summer and I still have 2 1/2 pots left !!

I've joined other challenges where I have committed my spare money so I will use my £1 self bonus money towards paying off a bill rather than saving it up, but the outcome will be pretty much the same.

Thanks and happy new year - good luck with your challenges

Of course you can join in - welcome aboard to TheAdvocate and BirdSeed!

Good luck with your challenges and pop back on to let us all know how you're doing.

Lot's of not buying lunches challenges - good idea as I always take mine in with me. Winter time I take in HM soup and summer time I take in stuff to make a wrap and always take in a lot of fruit and a carton of squash too. Works out a lot lot cheaper than buying it. Might be worth totting up how much you spend compared to how much it costs when you take in your own and you can see the savings for yourselves.
Happy New Year to you all!

  • Hi
Can I pop on even though I'm 50 days into the challenge?
I can't find the original thread and what I'm doing is bang on what you are.
For me it's no toiletries, clothes and craft stuff. As you can see from my sig, I've slightly fallen on the craft and clothes but so far managed to keep on the straight and narrow with toiletries!
I've just started saving £1 each time I use up a toiletry as well - I thought I might have more success using the stuff if i gave myself some kind of reward!

For newbies, I found it daunting at the start of the 100 days, but now I'm half way and have a good number of non-purchase days under my belt it feels great and it was enjoyable watching the numbers build up over time!

Hi cats - of course you can. Both gothrockchic and I decided to start afresh for the New Year and have a new thread to keep us all motivated - that's why this one is up and running

You sound like you're doing pretty well too and sometimes its harder to start and keep going and then the new habits kick into place and keep going - well done with how you've done

As for me, I'm about to use up some things - they're cut open at the moment to use every last bit up. However I have used up a toothpaste and a deoderant so that's another £2 into the pot

I have managed to finish a little sample pot of lovely Lancome face cream. My first pound will go into the pot tonight!
