No matter! I can bulk buy a few pairs while I'm getting Happy's. Bit of haggling in the market; fab. I have to say I think there appears to be some reluctance to enter into the true spirit of the dresscode for my next birthday celebrations, with people saying they don't have the figure for jeggings and knock knees etc. Disappointing, really. *sigh*It's a date. Good idea with that dress code, it'll help us recognise each other. Much more distinctive than a red rose and a rolled up Daily Star
Quite. And let's be honest, anyone who thinks that going to Chocaccino is a fabby idea probably doesn't have the figure of an anorexic whippet. Just sayin'.
Well then basket, you can do the lift-thumbing at the motorway services. Once you've hitched the ride, the rest of us will scoot out in our jeggings and stilettoes before the lorry driver can screech away. Team work.
Probably best if I don't either. Unfortunately I have cartoon knees
See above, but I like the idea about teamwork in stilettoes. Very fitting. I'll have to dust off my slingbacks to fit in with you guys. Very give and take, me.
Edited to add: Car-sharing, very MSE. Now we're getting somewhere. Thank you Basket Case. I love it when a plan comes together.Better is good enough.0 -
Update for yesterday.
- Get the budget back on track. A no spend day, first one in ages.
- Eat healthily Tick. Yes really! 1700 calories consumed, including 5 x F & V, one twirl from a multi-pack (they're tiny, Honey, honest) and a glass of red wine - just 175 ml, Honey!
- Seven hours in bed Think I just managed it yesterday, but I won't today because it's already 11:40.
- Neat feet Forgot last night but I'm going to do it now.

Cherchez les goals. Found them! Had to go back a page or two but I've dusted them off and had a quick read. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I have no idea what I was thinking when I set this lot.
- Stop eating cr*p and start losing some of those ounces that have been piling back on since [STRIKE]Good Friday[/STRIKE] Maundy Thursday. Currently having leftover chocolate cake for breakfast and tea. Not exactly what I had in mind when I set this target, but waste not want not.
- Tighten up the language a bit. It was not okay to tell the new neighbours our joint chimney is f*****. Er, three extremely naughty words on Monday which was odd considering I was totally sober and haven't used that word for two months. Not really sure what happened there.
- Groom Kelpie for at least 10 minutes daily because his winter coat is definitely starting to shed and the house will be knee deep in black fluff within days otherwise. Totally forgot about this ...
- Teach him that having his teeth cleaned is fun fun fun! ... and this.
- Do something significant every day to make the day of my birthday party calm. Stuck to that, but still putting the house to rights.
- Do something constructive every week about the micro-business's future. Er, I seem to have forgotten about that, too.
And I started my new evening class last night, Carpentry for Beginners, and by the end of it I had managed to cut two pieces of wood straight. Yay! *kicks a big pile of little wedge shaped bits under the workbench*Better is good enough.0 - Stop eating cr*p and start losing some of those ounces that have been piling back on since [STRIKE]Good Friday[/STRIKE] Maundy Thursday. Wow, didn't you just complete a plastering course (?) and now you have moved on to carpentry, I'm impressed! Are you going in to home renovations or is this just for diy at home?0 -

Also it's scientifically proven that all wine improves your iron count. White plateaus, but red just keeps on giving.

This is a moneysaving site, much kudos.

Er, three extremely naughty words on Monday which was odd considering I was totally sober and haven't used that word for two months. Not really sure what happened there. I found this on the internet so it must be true and it means you're clever "F*ck is probably the only word that can be used as a noun, verb, adverb, adjective and interjection and still making f*cking sense". Note the 'probably' but still..... More kudos.

Update for yesterday and part of the day before. I've got mixed-up somewhere but it doesn't matter.
- Get the budget back on track. Ummm. Well, after the glory of Monday's no spend day, yesterday I bought a Fitbit
. Now that might seem like an unusual choice for someone with £38K of debt, but it was a once-in-a-lifetime chance after a friend bought a new one for £100, realised he'd bought the wrong model, couldn't be bothered to return it, and wanted rid of it for £50. It is literally a week old! I can't stop playing with it. Dolphin - you have one I believe? They are SO MUCH FUN! Love the sleep tracker especially, although it shows I have a problem.........
- Eat healthily Three days in and all going well. 5 x F & V daily, one small bar of chocolate (crunchie this time) and one smallish glass of wine. 1700 calories total.
- Seven hours in bed I did manage this last night, but according to my Fitbit I had ten bouts of restlessness or wakefulness.
- Neat feet Still not done any sandpapering, but I did apply E45 from the knees down last night. I hate rubbing cream into my feet, it's creepy.
