Aye up! I couldn't let March disappear without a last minute skid-by to dish out a few pompoms.

    desismileys_2722.gifdesismileys_2722.gifdesismileys_2722.gifdesismileys_2722.gifdesismileys_2722.gifdesismileys_2722.gif

    Ta muchly. Jolly appreciated.

Those are my first literal pompoms so I hope they work.

Many thanks for all the waves and good wishes. It's all been a bit crap recently (definitely not a swear word, I'm not paying) and it will probably stay that way for a while. That's really no excuse for neglecting my diary though, so I've only myself to blame for the utter failure with every single one of my targets.

Er, it is, it does count, it should be at least a squid, but I'm going to let you off because I didn't read that until 1 April and it's not one of my April targets.

It sounds as though things are stressful, hectic and unhappy, so I think you can let yourself off the hook. Sometimes just coping is all we can do.

There's no real improvement with Happy Pops and it's all getting very wearing for Happy Mum. And for the rest of us too obviously, but she's the one most affected. Things will have to change soon but for now everyone is battling on and trying to smile :).

*Strengthening vibes* for Happy Pops, *strength vibes* for Happy Mum and more *coping vibes* for you, Happy.

I know Dolphin is having a very well-deserved rest in April, but if anyone else is still feeling targetty I would love to join back in. In fact I NEED to join back in! I'm going to bed now to plan some challenges.

While Dolphin rests on her laurels, I'm up for Awesome April (or whatever you want to call it) but I have no idea which of the many areas of total chaos that needs addressing most urgently, so I'm going to ponder targetting things for a bit before I commit myself with a listy.

Thanks for all the support over the last few weeks, people. I really do appreciate it. :T:T

You have been much in my thoughts. I became my father's principal carer when things were really bad, and my mother's Parkinson's effectively meant that she couldn't look after him and needed quite a bit of support herself. It was without doubt the toughest thing I've ever done. You'll never regret doing what you're doing, but when the time comes for the situation to be reassessed and things to change, you'll know. (((Hugs))) for all Happys.
    Better is good enough.

Yay, my pompoms worked *smug, self-satisfied smile with preening*

Sometimes it's those little victories in life that give us the greatest satisfaction, and we have to grab the good feelings anyway we can. Preen away, you've earned it.

Is it only me that finds that :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:? Scoffing mindlessly is the issue, knowing that putting them in the basket and leaving them in it so you take them home is the problem, so I'd regard that five minutes as a wonderful sign that this idea works.

Yes, I suppose you are right, I think that this target is so ingrained now, I can't eat (or even buy) anything that I would consider naughty without giving it a lot of thought so I guess it has worked :).

To be honest, I've been scoffing crud for England over the past few days and it feels absolutely wonderful to be so self-indulgent, but there will come a day when I decide that I want the benefits of not doing so, and then it will stop. For a bit.

I feel like I need to be self-indulgent for a while but I'm not even sure that is possible without the guilt anymore , we shall see what happens this month. I'll probably be back in May having put all the weight back on :D.

In the meantime, good on you for achieving what you set out to achieve, and keep rooting for those of ussmileys-cheerleading-755332.gifdesismileys_2722.gifcheerleader.gif who are still battling to get some kind of order into our lives, please. I can use all the help I can get.

I'm not going anywhere, I'll be keeping my eye on you :naughty:!

Nothing like cutting it fine, you only just made it at 11.52pm :D!

    Thank you, much appreciated :)!

Wow, Honey Bear is strict! A whole quid for 'crap'! Doh, now look what's happened <here's a virtual quid for the jar honey>!

I'm so very sorry that things haven't improved for Happy Pops and it must be a huge strain on you worrying about both Happy Pops and the impact it is all having on Happy Mum. I hope that you are managing to take time out for yourself and that you are getting a lot of support too.

I may be taking April off but as I have already said, I'll be watching and cheering you all on.

Awesome April not flying yet then??

My targets are set, but the past three days have been practice days :o
    • Get the budget back on track. My YNAB has lots of red numbers on it. I hate red numbers.
    • Stop trying to beat world chocolate-eating records every day. It's impressive how much I can eat without being sick. During April I will only eat one bar per day.
    • Eat healthily, including 5 x F & V daily. Ten weeks to our cheapy Spanish holiday. Time to make a start on the beach bod :D
    • No more than one glass of wine per night. Might be tricky.......
    • A minimum of 7 hours in bed per night. I think it's partly tiredness making me over-indulge with chocolate and wine.
If I can stick with that lot, it'll be Awesome.

Doh, bad luck Dolphin. And 'crap' is NO WAY real swearing, not Up North anyway. I know, I'll write a definitive list to avoid future confusion:-

    S****
    F****
    B****
    T****
    X****
    Z****
Now THOSE words are worth a quid each.

Ah damn that swear filter :D

What swear words begin with X and Z? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm glad that you agree that 'crap' is not swearing, like you say it must be more common Up North. Also, you had better be careful, knowing how strict Honey Bear is, 'damn' will probably be a swear word in her vocabulary too :D.
