On the subject of washing duvets - what size machine can do this? I've searched and have seen the old Dyson could wash a king size duvet with its claimed drum size of 7Kg, but I've also found that the drum was far larger than any other 7Kg load machine. Would a 9Kg machine manage?0

If youmean double duvets, I would think most will struggle to wash double or king size ones effectively even if they do come inside the wet weight limit.
Drums are often different sizes by perception but see how the door is shaped and sized for a real comparison
