Shall find out soon enough, there is no indication that they are the same company on their websites, well apart from the same vat number.

Do they share any directors or shareholders?

Find it funny that the boards on the Motorways etc keep reminding you to take a break, don't drive if tired etc. So what do you do, pull into Service station have a nap to refresh yourself & get a begging letter ......,

Exactly what happened to me - I couldn't make the last 50 miles home as I had been awake for 27 hours straight, so I pulled into EXETER MOTO SERVICES, parked in the corner and had a nap in the back of the car (for 8 and a half hours :D)

Got a letter through saying I had overstayed the free period of 2 hours, they wanted £80, then £120, then £150...eventually they got bored of wanting and never sent me another letter which is a shame as I was quite enjoying it.

I was just looking at that, and as far as I can see no, also the accounts of moto don't show anything with cp plus not that I've seen anything.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

You can have a group of companies under one VAT number.

    Group VAT registration
Two or more companies or limited liability partnerships - known as 'bodies corporate ' - may register as a single taxable person - or VAT group - if they meet the following criteria:
each body has its principal or registered office in the UK
they are under common control, for example one or more company is a subsidiary of a parent company

So if the CP Plus number is correct, it just confirms what many of us have believed for a long time that it is owned by Moto them being the VAT registered company!

As i mentioned previously, when i did a credit check/search on them no link in terms of group/associated company etc could be found.

  • Hello Forum Members

I am new to the forum but not this site. I am getting used to finding out wonderful snippets of invaluable info and am relieved to read about this SC AM! It is so WRONG that these organisations can do this.

CP PLUS sent my husband a 'Charge Notice' on the 9/1/12 stating that the charge of £80 is required to be paid with in 28 days, as we stated for 5 minutes under 3 hours, an hour over the limit.

Thanks to all the forum commentary, I have looked at the 'invoice' in great detail and found a number of pointers that match everyone's advice::cool:

    1) It is a 'charge notice' for parking and not a FINE or PENALTY :j
    2) The photograph images of the car are 'In' and 'Out' CCTV captures, NOT parked images? This is suspect?

I will wait for the additional letters and keep you all posted. While I do not like feeling of intimidation by mail, I am willing to 'wait it out' so to speak.

Thank you everyone for your threads.
