is this worth complaining about

I am in two minds whether to make a complaint or not.
i have been trying to pay my bill all day (its taken all my breakfast at work to try and get through) and have had 4 different cards declined, so it's clearly a problem with the phone company.
Anyway after making sure with my cc company and bank that they didn't have a problem, I went back on the phone to the mobile company.
First off i said I was having a problem making a payment and the guy said that it was because they didn't accept Halifax visa debit cards.
Obviously this is a lot of rubbish as i have been paying this way for 4 years,
So i said 'Ok i'll give you my Mastercard, i'm assuming you accept Mastercard'
Then he interupted me and said "OK RUDE, Give me the last for digits of the card number, ok RUDE give me the expiry date.'
I said' You'll have to take the full card number as i've never used the card before'
He sighed and again interupted me and said "RUDE, Card number, card number, give me the card number'
I basically said 'Excuse me what are you calling me?' he said nothing, he was simply asking for the card number, I said 'No you weren't, you were shouting at me calling me rude'
'he said ok i freely admit i called you rude once. "
After that i asked for his manager and he started backtracking saying he had only called me rude once and i was misunderstanding.
I have phoned back several times and no one will let me speak to a manager, they keep fobbing me off saying they'l listen to the call and call back within 24 hours.
Is it worth taking this further

Only you can decide, however get a DD setup so that the bills can be deducted when required, your situation is one best prevented rather than trying to cure it, to be honest after trying to pay with 4 different cards and then a trip to the bank, does not sound like you will be at your most polite and relaxed manner, personally I would let it go, but if you are up for the fight then complain, just be prepared to lose as well as win.0

so you think that's ok for someone in a customer service role to speak to someone like that?
Rude is not what i was, i was sitting with my friends at lunch trying to pay. Im hardly going to be screaming and shouting at someoneSave £300 in Jan £515/£300-Lose 10 lbs in Jan- 8/10,Cap One M/C £0/£200,Cap One Visa £0/£200

Yes and no.
Yes it's worth raising it but is it worth your time? you should get an apology, possibly something as a goodwill gesture, but at the end of the day is it worth the hassle.
Thats not to say bad service should happen, but you've no idea how the CS bod's day has been, it's not right they should carry that from call to call but we are all human and it does happen form time to time...0 -

I wouldn't know I was not there, but as said from what you described earlier, there is a good chance you were wound up already, trouble on here is that too many shoot their mouths off saying they are going to do this or do that (see the orange raising call charges thread) and end up doing nothing, as said let it go but only you can decide.0
