We found a wallet in a pub carpark and handed it in at the bar, the fella returned 20 minutes later asking if it had been handed in, the first thing he did was check the cash (IIRC £15 in notes + a little change) was still there. After that he asked who had handed it in then dropped the cash on our table. Result.
He had quite a few credit and membership cards so I'm guessing he was very pleased to get them back and happy his wallet hadn't been messed with.
It's nice to find a wallet and get to keep the cash legally0 -
regardless if the OP doesn't give it back, asda will have a system to authorize funds even though there isn't any available.0

Ha ha - nice one! I was in a crowded bar a while back and the bloke in front dropped a £5 note. Amazingly no one noticed, so I picked it up, tapped him on the shoulder and gave it back to him. He was so grateful that (despite my protests) he insisted on buying me a pint... and only got just over £1 back in change. Top bloke!0 -
Contact them and wait for their reply. They will take it back, I'm sure but surely that's the only 'right' 'option' available to you????0
