National grid have broken my meter box door

Hi We had someone come fromnational grid yesterday to put some credit on our meter as our card is not loading and today i went outside to notice they have broken the door on our meter box i did not see this yesterday as it was dark when they came around. Do i have to replace the box or is it the gas companys responsibilty…
