Think you would need a street trading licence for this, best enquire atyou local council. Good luck.

Don't be so damned ridiculous and horribly judgemental. No-one is forcing grieving people to buy anything.

Most people would want to take flowers and it would provide a service if they were easily obtained so close to the actual cemetery.

I need to drive into a city along busy motorways to get to my Mum's grave. It's a huge PITA having to drive into a shopping centre first to pick up flowers, I for one would appreciate them being more easily got.

OP, I think this is a good idea but yes, you would need permission.

I am as entitled to an opinion as you are, I too have lost family and friends and do not find it acceptable for someone to be standing at the cemetery gates with their hand out. I hope you will find that a license is very difficult to obtain.

Of course you are not making money from someones grief. It would be greatto be able to buy flowers that easily and local.

Now thats just being plain nasty.I am sorry that you are obviously grieving but so are a lot of us and to wish difficulty for the OP just does not make sense.

Do you feel the same way about all Florists, supermarkets etc. whosell flowers to the bereaved.

    Hope you feel better soon.

This thread was started to ask a specific question about the legalities of something.

Yes, you are entitled to feel as you do and I would not judge you for it. We all have things we feel strongly about.

However, your reply was not relevent to the question asked and was unnecessary. The OP did was not looking to gather opinion on the subject. That's why I replied to you as I did.

With hindsight my 'ridiculous' comment was perhaps too harsh, so I apologise for that.

    a cementry

...is that somewhere that they make cement or concrete?

    Back on topic:

You will need a Street Traders' Licence and of course need to keep full accounts and declare your business to HMRC, Benefits Agency etc as applicable.
