problems with my nokia 2652

i bought one of those cheap nokia 2652 from phones4u a while back and popped my orange contract sim card into it.
i doesnt recognize numbers when people call and orange says it is incompatible with their network even though it was an orange payg phone.

it worked fine with my o2 sim card which makes it even stranger.

anyone else have this problem and know what to do?

is it an old sim card? as they have changed the voltages on some

mine is - after just a few weeks. dread to think what it will be like in a year.
